I think he just said it so Kotelink name got mentioned because he then went on to say "all my friends said I should fight him, cus i can beat him, ya no".

 

No, he didn't mean it, but I don't think he was having a laugh either, not in the same way that Hatton and Froch were in any case.

He would've known that the match-up was in the works and so probably dropped the name in as a feeder for the fans. He couldn't have actually meant it though, since Kotelnik beat ten shades of **** out of Rees so obviously the Welsh man at least would have been worse.

In fact I think Rees would be quite high up there in the all-time award.

Kotelnik is by no means even the worse champion out there currently.

 

I dunno. It looked serious to me but then again I can't imagine he didn't know about the fight being a possibility. Maybe it is unknown Khan humour and he just doesn't have the charisma of Hatton and Froch. Maybe he was just throwing his name out there. He would have to be pretty stupid to contradict himself in such a short period.

 

I agree that Kotelnik is not bad at all. Some would argue him undefeated. He's a champ with two decent defenses. He certainly isn't the weakest.

 

I hope he meant it, this will surely means if he wins he can only inherit Koltenik's status as worst world champion.

He was talking about a beltholder in one of the two divisions he could realistically compete in, or probably has any clue about. He does not exactly have an IQ like ESB Brit forum members, I doubt if he knows who the other champs are.
