Khans future

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by Phill-Mitchell, Jul 17, 2012.

  1. After Khan got similarly ko'd by Bredis "no jags" Prescott, he was widely written off, you can see the old threads saying he would never be more than European level etc, and now you are seeing a lot of similar opinions, he should retire, he's done, all that jazz.

So we should really all put down what we think is in his future and then bump this thread in like a year.

Myself, I think he will win a version of the world title within 2 fights or one year from now, and within 2 years will be back as a top guy in the division, he is always a chance to get ktfo but I think he just got it wrong at the weekend

He'll always be a douche though

He'll win a version of the world title again. I think he'll have one or two easier confidence building fights before challenging for a title again. I think we'll see improvements. He will get KTFO once more before retiring but I believe that once his career is finished he will be highly respected by most on this forum and will have proved people wrong once again. He will need to go back to being a boring fighter i.e Kotelnik fight. If he does decide to go with Nazim Richardson as rumoured, then I think Richardson could be the man to turn him from a boy into a man. Khan can already be very proud of all he's achieved but he still has a lot of growing up to do.

He'll win a few fights, perhaps surprise people and win a couple of big ones and he'll get stopped a couple of more times too on the way. Picking up a strap is no big deal, he'll definitely do that. How hard is it.

Yeah, it's not impossible that he could step up to welter fight brook then malignaggi and be a champ in two fights.

I mean technically he'd be a top-level guy. He'd be a champion. But Zab has been champ a few times and never been entirely convincing.

I voted for 'judah type' despite believing he will pick up another strap at some point.

    I've confused myself.
