This is the talking point as to how well/bad he does and can do.

Roach has worked on his balance, guard and intelligence. However Khan still got caught with flaws v MAB.

In the 2nd round MAB caught him with a left hook. Khan was off balance and out of position when going to the body. He got caught and hurt. Same thing v Prescott.

In the 5th round MAB caught him with a right hand. Khan was looping a left hook while moving and MAB threw a right hand down the pope. He got caught and hurt. Same thing v Limond.

Khans appears to have brought some bouncey-ness back to his game. A bit more amateur/Pacquiao. I fear it could get him in trouble.

I think Khan dominated MAB and would do similar without a cut. Too big and too fast. A natural 135 MAB (even at 35 years old) absolutely decimates Khan.

Yeah there were some flaws on the night, but I feel he made more improvements. I guess 2/3 more fights to iron out the flaws and perfect his game, then if he is looking good and has not been KOed and lost, a title shot can be made.

People have to remember Khan is only 22. So he have plenty of time...

    There is no rush.

Its like they dont expect him to get hit, all boxers do, mistakes are made every fight. Also i dont think he was even hurt like people are saying. But he did what he needed too. Probably still get KO'ed down the line.

First, people were too critical and now they are too sensitive. No reason he can't have technique like Mayweather.

Mistakes are made in every fight but these are the exact same mistakes made in catastrophic moments for him. He did both mistakes in one fight.

Thats what I am saying, Khan may never have the reaction time of FM blocking/ducking/slipping/using shoulder the defence master, but he does have faster feet, and faster hands IMO. FM can stand or side step and defend himself, Khan can back pedal or move away fast with his fast feet. It will take I think 3 more fights to near perfect Khan's new style hit and not be hit in and out fast using hand speed.

We don't know. Many fighters have good reflexes but they don't fine tune them with the right defence because they don't put enough work in. Every second of Floyds pad work is defence defence defence. Khan is faster than Floyd but in the pros it'll serve him better if his footwork becomes more educated and his punches get there via timing and not speed. Floyd is so good because he doesn't win based on his talent i.e. speed and reflexes. He wins because he is well schooled. VERY few boxers can deduct the ego and use the brain.

What I'm saying is Khan has improved but the two MAJOR things that got him caught were repeated and both in one fight. I think Khan has improved but he won because he was too big and too fast. A 135 MAB kills Khan, even at 35. I'm intrigued to see if Khan stays bouncey on his feet and if he does how that will fair.

You can't properly gauge these things without context and perspective.

You only gain that through being directly threatened by a top opponent at lightweight, or better yet, fighting your old nemesis. Then you can really start to see any improvements or otherwise as the base for comparison is there.

improvements were plain to see, what i will do is analyse those improvements into potential problems for khan

his biggest impovement imo was he was landing his shots then getting the **** out of there, he wasnt planting his feet in order to move out of range as quickly as possible before the counter comes back , they had worked on this for one main reason that his defence was terrible and still is in some areas so to use quick foot speed and getting out of range directly after landing a combo was obviously a great plan

however had there been a legit 135 fighter in there those punches were so pitty pat that a top lw could cover up take the punches on the gloves and counter with power shots as their balance wouldnt have been affected from the speed shots amir was throwing

im obviously still worried about his chin, i wish amir wasnt such a nob as he is exciting and i liked him in the olympics which was before i realised he was a dumb ****

He was wobbled. Fortunately Barrera was operating with one eye so it's very hard to tell how much Khan has improved or how much Barrera has in the tank.

Pre prescott Khan would have beaten Barrera exactly the same way. The only evidence of change so far has been Khans body shape. He was slightly more disciplined in his approach - but that tends to happen once you've been laid out. I think that he will have a very protected career gong forward. It will be interesting to see how Warren deals with the PPV-protective match making equation. An awful lot of thought will have to go into his matchmaking.

Khan is constantly improving which is amazing considering he is almost perfect. He reminds me of the Kurt Russel character in 'Soldier'. He is just an unbeatable fighting machine with no real flaws.
