Percect sparring partners. If Khan doesn't go out like hell, he's actually a very skilled boxer with an excellent and quick jab. He's also a tall LW. Something PacMan needed vs. Oscar.

Of course PacMan is relentless in sparring sessions too, very quick, gives a lot of angles and a crisp and precise power shots, something Khan was needed and still needs to get his defense better and taste some excellent shots and learn from mistakes.

The result is Khan winning without getting tagged with big shots (***an is not a bad fighter) and PacMan did really well to control the distance and not allow DLH to throw his jab.

I just wish we could see the past and future Pacquiao-Khan sparring sessions... Back then, Vazquez gave hell to PacMan, according to insiders, gave PacMan a beating many times during their sparring sessions. Both benefited from that: Vazquez, a smart aggressor, beat Larios, PacMan took everything Barrera and Morales threw at him and beat them with his relentless style. Now, his warrior days are over and he is improving from fight to fight. Sparring has a lot to do with that.

yeh i think their styles complimented eachother. khans great jab and lightning speed prepared manny very well for this fight as oscar was nowhere near as quick or energetic as amir khan likewise mannys aggressive relentless style prepared amir khan for someone alot tougher than ***an.

just saw the fight and Khan looked great....he kept his guard up the whole fight, he didn't just sit in front of his opponent and let him get off, he threw powerful shots in combination then side stepped and worked behind his jab beautifully, his boxing skills are really improving under Freddie's guidance

that was an A class performance (probably against a C class guy though, but still)......

cant wait to see him get in the ring with Presscott again, if he can overcome him i see big things in the future for him, props to Khan and Manny for helping mold Khan

and of course Manny's performance goes without saying

Why are you crediting Khan for Pac winning?

Khan is a bum who should stick to beating up clubfighters, him sparring Pac didn't help Pac at all imo, this win was all Pac.

I don't think its a case of crediting Khan for him winning.

But I'm sure its helpful sparring for Pacquiao. Khan with headgear on is actually probably quite a challenge, the kid is fast, he does jab well. A lot sharper than De La Hoya at the moment.

He may not be durable, but if you take that aspect out of the equation with bigger gloves and headgear Khan is a great partner to have. If all else fails for him he can become a full-time sparring parter :hey
