It totally isn't. I'd never bother with an alt to have a go at someone. Prefer to make it as personal as possible.
yes u have, one of the first e-arguments i got into with u, u told me u were a writer, all i remember it was over something to do with cameron dunkin and u said u have contacts with him because your a writer..
140 used to be a great division. The only reason it isnt so much now is because the top guys, except for khan and Bradley who are either moving up or want to, have fought each other. Matthyse, Maidana, Kotelnik, Alexander, Khan, Peterson and Bradley have all been fighting each other so there is less intrigue now.
I AM a writer, you utter bellend, and I have been writing a book about the boxing industry as part of a wider piece on the entertainment industry. That was why I had been emailing Dunkin. But I have NEVER said I'm a boxing writer.
For all this "abuse" Khan suffered in the UK, he drew bigger crowds there than America by far. I think he moved because he was promised pie in the sky, to be made a new boxing superstar, but it hasn't worked out that way. His moves not been a huge failure but how much better off is he really? He has to go to another guys hometown to get a sellout crowd and his chances of being a big ppv star are almost zero.
Haha... I should probably clarify. I don't write about the sport itself directly. I'm not a boxing writer, I don't cover fights. I'm a business writer primarily.
so i take it the duck move pulled by bradley is going to be covered in your book? because thats the reason you gave for being in contact with dunkin, i could dig up the post if you like?
No, because that's not what the book is about really. It's about how business in sport is damaging the sport element of it. I got in touch with Dunkin originally to interview Bradley when we had our Boxing Site experiment. That all fell apart but he'd emailed me back and I had been doing some other writing about UFC's business model. So I asked him about that, he answered and we swapped him esmails where he laid out, as an example, Tim's situation. It was a good illustration of how contracts are used to exploit sportsmen. I wasn't writing a book about Bradley or Shaw. It was originally an article, but I've got some good pieces that would make a solid book down the line. We'll see. I've got enough projects as is.
