He's been doing road work since febuary, starting from the Smith gym in Liverpool. He'll be burnt out otherwise, i think all they are doing now is some slight strength work, focus on the game plan & keep him sharp from the Peterson training.
Haye doesn't do road work either and that is a mistake If I was Garcia I would be training to come on hard in the championship rounds Road work makes such a difference to your stamina
A number of fighters dont do roadwork. Hamed never did it. Haye does very little. Sparring, skipping, hitting the bags, strength work, and the various exercises that you can actually do in the gym should be more than enough really. Actually having to run on the road is more of a tradition, and a throwback to older fighters than a scientific training necessity
He's just focusing more of anaerobic activity such as sprinting, etc. which better simulates what happens in a fight.
why does it matter if you can workout the same breathing system alternatively? Holyfield never did roadwork, the klitschkos dont, Sonny Liston didn't.
