If had him in his corner and the media felt it didn't warrant a mention at the time it says a lot more.

I agree with Rob and elle on this one. Kindelan wasn't exactly **** either. Let's reserve judgement for the next couple of fights.

I don't see what the big deal is.

You really believe that that guy trained kindelen???? Ask Buncey how many cuban trainers Kindelen would have come into contact with in his 1,654 fights..... Its bull **** ... he probably served kindelen in Havana, Macdonlds drive thru.

Plus if he did train Kindelan it was in the amateurs. The pro's is a whole different ball game.

Its hardly like he guided Kindelen Yoda style through his childhood chasing rats through swamps and stuff.... More like a sort of Han Solo role.... Encouraging Guidance type input.

    :rofl

This is a really strange choice, I can't make heads nor tails of it. Why do you take a risk on an unknown quanitity when you have that sort of money?

Why don't you go for a guy that has a proven record of ironing out the flaws Khan has?

    It's completely absurd and unexplainable.

Why the **** are people dismissing Jorge Rubio.
No-one here has met him or knows **** about him, Khan as.
Unless we've got some Cuban Amateur experts in the room then you all should not dismiss him so easily.
I've read up that he is meant to be a 'defensive whizz", so give him a chance.
Who gives a **** it isn't one of the US trainers, its about what the fighter wants, not what you want

You mean Buddy Mcgirt right..... Simple. Its all about the benjamins and this new cuban guy fits the bill.... he's mysterious, he's got a foreign name, they have history, and I bet my testies he is cheap as ****.... I'm telling you.

He probably got a free Amir Khan tracksuit, signed boxing gloves and a picture of him and amir doing the 'peace' sign (signed of course). He might turn out to be an incredible trainer but this turd reeks of Hamed type training camps where all Amirs buddies take turns to slap him on the back saying 'you the champ'.

What is it with British fighters needing foreign trainers? Lennox had that mouth piece Pepe Correa, Hamed had Suarez and now Khan gots whatever his name is....

One things for certain, those who suggested Khan was unhappy fighting in a professional way have been proved right. Khan is going to do more laps of the ring then Lewis Hamilton on a sunday.

I don't think Buddy McGirt has a proven track record of anything except a consistent ability to lose fights

This whole thing boils down to either saving pennies or staying completely in his comfort zone. Every man and his dog knows he needed a Mayweather, and they've cocked it up royally.

lol im not Ironbull but i just find it ridicolous that people are saying it wont help Khan, it wont teach him ****, bollox choice e.t.c when they have absolutely zero knowledge about this guy.

Nobody knows, so give him a chance ffs.

Don't you find it weird that we know nothing about this guy? If he's the trainer to take Khan to a world title we would have heard SOMETHING about this guy.
