    Not great form but at least he's a defensive genius. :lol:

    Why the hell you go and hire some nobody in professional boxing to train what is supposed to be Britains best prospect?

    Its absurd. It's like appointing the Accington Stanley manager to replace Fergie.

    I imagine the gym to be a bit like Charlie Zelenoffs.... loads of no head shots sparring.... lol This is so funny.... I'm so glad you put that research bit antcull.

    SO this guy has achieved nothing as a pro coach. They're using the 'he trained Kindelan who beat Khan in the Olympics' angle to sell this guy. Khan would have rather stayed with a British coach rather than someone like this.

    He;s not Gamboa's main trainer. Just helps out, plus Gamboa has rubbish defence anyway.

    Can you imagine the first day of sparring...
    Day one
    Rubio: Hi amir i'd like you to sparring today?
    Amir: But i'm going driving in my Range Rover.
    Rubio: Ok
    Day two
    Rubio: Hi Amir- i'd like you to do some sparring today?
    Amir: Ok but i'm only sparring the one with the vagina. No head shots!
    Rubio: Ok
    Day Three
    Rubio: Hi Amir i've just realised you've not paid for your first two training sessions.
    Amir: Sorry Rubio i've got £1.50 in my YSL training bag does that include me lucozade.

    Ismael Salas is Gamboas trainer.... Rubio just helps tidy the gym.

    And Salas has a great record of training legendary superstar Danny Green and who else?

    There's obviously nothing else to talk about so let's all rip the **** into Khan's choice of new trainer without seeing any of the results.

    We don't need to see the results, we are in the here and now and it looks very stupid and naive. Pick the guy you know has a track record, that way there is no excuse to fall back on and the job will get done.

    There has to be some sort of angle with this appointment. Nobody would be stupid enough to employ a trainer with no real professional pedigree in the hope of taking them to a world title. The Khan camp must know something we don't, mustn't they? Surely.

    There might be, might not be. Khan obviously wants him so I'm going to reserve judgement until the next few fights.

    I agree, but I hope the Khan camp have thought this through as he is rapidly approaching the make or break part of his career.
