To be fair, McGuigan is the most 'real' and down to earth out of ALL the current boxing commentators here.

...Although that's not saying a great deal, I know. I respect him though, because he often keeps his views grounded instead of getting carried away, and he has genuine insight.

Gavin Rees would be a good fight.

Romanov beats him imo, I think if he gets passed Romanov he has earned some serious credibility but ofcourse it will not happen!

he's like that on setanta, but he seems a different person completely when talking about khan on itv. think setanta must give him a bit more freedom to speak his mind.

I dont think that you can get a better commentator than Johnny Nelson.

I think he is a quality guy and he knows the ins and outs of the boxing game aswell as being a longserving world champion!

nah warren would make it last till at least the 5th where he would have a big wager on rees to drop!

its funny seeing Khan fans starting to become frustrated that he isn't fighting any known fighters or for any belts :yep

the dane was better then rees, honestly calzaghe sr should do rees a favour and not make the fight happen hes going to get humiliated by a first round TKO or he'll get obliterated over the course of 5 rounds, Khan doesnt need rees and rees doesnt need a part of khan.

The Thaxton fight was in the pipeline. Thaxton got beat by Romanov, which wasn't too much of a surprise. Therefore, could they still not make the Khan-Thaxton fight happen?

I would still prefer to see Khan-Romanov, but I take on board some peoples point that it might be too soon for both fighters (financially as much as anything).

Just don't let it be Stefano Zoff; that fight is a glorified Khan-exhibition just waiting to happen.

Any bet's for the opponent to have over 10% KO ratio on his record?

Be surprised if Khan is Rees next opponent straight after his defeat to Kotelnik.

Think Warren suggested Rees would be out for a real long rest before he is back in action again.

Johnny Nelson is a decent commentator, but doesn't have a clue how to score a fight.

Any man who scored Quintana Williams 116-112 in favour of Williams needs to go to sleep for quite a while!

Ian Darke is my personal favourite.

In terms of Khan's next opponent, if it is for the WBF 'title', it makes a change from the WBU fights we have been fed by Sports Network over the years - trouble is, it is still for a belt that you could buy from Netto. If he is so against fighting for the British title, why not have a non-title ten rounder, like the Yanks would do!

I scored Williams vs Quintanta 115-113 to Williams tbh.

I would expect a not so great opponent for Khan next fight, he is what 6 weeks away from the fight and it doesnt seem like he is in training at the moment. I think Thaxton could happen.

    Ian Darke is class.
