Absolutely shocking display by the ref.Khan allowed to hold and rabbit punch constantly, yet Diaz was the one being reprimanded in almost every round, and Khan instigating the refs intervention.
What the **** are you going on about you ****in ballsack ? Diaz had Khan on ***** st several times and the ref allowed Khan to hold Diaz like a ****in octopus in order to prevent Diaz from delivering the coup de grace. No ****in wonder overseas fighters don't wanna risk fighting in the UK
Khan is not ready for the guys that GBP is going to serve him up to. Mathysse, Peterson, Garcia, all punchers. Judah is the only one he'd have a chance against but the odds would be long that it'll be Zab that wins this mini-tournament.
Yeah he was , but I can remember other fighters through the years getting hit and hurt and holding to survive and people saying they had the ring smarts to hold and survive . Or other boxers for example Bruno getting hurt and not holding and people blasted him for not knowing how to survive then later in his career he did hold and at times got blasted for holding. Khan holding at least showed a small amount of IQ in the ring sadly though the ability to avoid a left hook still seems to be missing
Fair comment, holding and smothering your opponent when your in trouble is the thing to do,but it's illegal, and i'd expect any ref worth his salt to have at least warned Khan.At one point Diaz rocked Khan with a sweet right and Khan wrapped his arms around him,yet the ref decided to warn Diaz for hitting Khan behind the head as he was trying to wrestle free !!
I'm glad someone pointed this out, the ref was a complete liability. I had a bad stream so I may be wrong here but I'm sure I saw the ref have a word with Diaz for taunting?
I don't fault the ref. Khan wasn't excessively holding or mauling. Just a couple of times when he was hurt which is what you are supposed to do. Its not like he was spending entire rounds doing it.
