at lightwelter amir has faced mallignaggi, kotelnik and maidana.

andreas kotelnik won maybe a round off amir. he's since proved to be a match for devon alexander who scraped through with a controversial decision.

amir won almost every round against mallignaggi...... a tough durable guy who went the distance with cotto and out boxed juan diaz twice.

then amir silenced his critics who thought he would never step in the ring with marcos maidana. the hardest puncher in the devision, amir out boxed him for 7 of the 12 rounds but fell asleep in the 10th and the subsequent damage made the fight much closer than it should of been.

andre ward has beaten 4 credible oponants at super middle weight. kessler, bika, miranda and green.

miranda has lost been ko'd by bute, pavlik and abraham while ward beat him via UD

kessler is wards stand out victory and deserves credit for beating the guy who beat froch. but it wasn't 100% convincing with the headbutting and clinching.

the green fight was an example of wards great inside work.... however anyone who has lost to edision miranda has obvious weaknesses which you would expect ward to take advantage of.

finally bika. a tough rugged guy who many thjought ward would dominate with ease gave ward some problems and made it a gruelling 12 round fight.

im not here to denounce ward and laud over amir but if ward is consiodered by some to be in the top 10 in the p4p list why is amir outside the top 20 in that same list?

They're both young and Khan's had two more fights. So when Ward has his next two fights – Abraham and Froch – he’d have probably surpassed Amir’s current resume.

thats not true. maidana has been dominant in the light welter division unitil he met amir. plus ward beat him at home with a hugly partisan crowd. plus add the headbutting and numerous clinching im not altogether convinced.

Is this like some big ups thread for Khan? regardless, after the super six is over Ward's resume will surpass Khan's by a log way.

    Umm, no.

    Abraham? Been exposed already
Froch? Lost to Kessler and arguably Dirrell

In that same time period Khan will probably fight the Bradley/Alexander winner and another top guy.

If Khan in that time sits idle and does nothing, then yes, Ward's resume will **** on his by a long way. But what if Khan does what he plans (beat a Peterson and unify against Bradley-Alexander)? He wouldn't be that far behind Ward.

Beating Peterson is not impressive. I dont think that guy is that good. Should Khan beat Timmy or Bradley then he will at least equal Ward's resume.

i just think ward is getting over rated because he's one of only a few decent US fighters coming through. he might be great soon but atm moment he hasnt impressed me all that much. i'll give him credit he doesnt seem to know how to lose. but he hasnt realy wowed me with a performance yet.

Khan resume also shows he's been knocked down by bums and got knocked out by prescott a guy kevin mitchell took to school. You have to take the positive with negative i'm afraid.
