What the **** are you talking about? He's been in like a 20 week camp except for a few weeks off after the Peterson fight got called off so he's hardly rusty! He was getting caught by wild swings, getting into exchanges with a guy 10 times slower than him. Same old Khan. He's got that awful Macho attitude when he gets caught he wants to go to war straight away. He's not changed at all, he's not worked on any inside game or worked on sticking to his gameplans. He just believes he's better than Garcia and that's enough. It very well might be but he's a disaster waiting to happen
Enjoyed that, Noticed he's still pushing . TBH Khan makes some of those mistakes on fight night, his attitude seems to be meet fire with fire. Don't think he will ever change his mentality. His convo right after with Tabares summed his mindset up really. He put some lovely shots together there (uppercuts and left hook to body) but looked ragged but if it's early in camp and without Freddy being there i wouldn't read to much into it but there's aspects of his game that don't seem to of been developed since December. Plus Garcia likes to punch with his opponents, Khan seemed to be doing that so if he does same Saturday night we may have a cracking battle.
This was an introduction into fight sparring dick head !!! , what do you think he's been doing sparring for 20 weeks :huh His head coach wasn't even present , when he begins to ramp up his sparring going into the final stages he'll be completely changing his sparring style and he will be sparring like he'll be fighting , to a game plan !! One thing is certain , he won't be flat footed , and planted with his hands by his waist against anyone let alone Garcia :nono
i thought he would have worked on his defence and his inside game, but clearly hasn't. same old stand up straight with your hands up, no head movement and no creativity. just wind up and land at will.
^^ Yeah that's one thing i must say stood out to me, the pushing and also use of shoulder roll in sparring clip near the end. Garcia has to make that his priority on Saturday, standing at range hoping for one punch isn't going to work. Khan's jab looked pretty sharp there IMO.
That's garbage! Is he getting hit with wild hooks on purpose? He can't help but trade its mental his ego won't let him not get involved neither will his technique. Head trainer or not
I understand those clips were early in camp, but still, considering he was already sparring for the Peterson fight -- where he surely would have been working on ironing out those mistakes -- I have to say he looked poor. Messy flurries, falling off balance, getting caught repeatedly in exchanges, and most worryingly, no defence what so ever apart from putting the hands up and soaking up punishment. Head and upper-body movemen is non-existent. **** attitude, too. "It's boring". No, mother****er, it's what will win you fights.
