Every time I hear about Khan, people go on about his speed.

Well, his speed is GREATLY overrated. He may be fast, but he throws the same stupid little shoeshine flurries over and over.

He's predictable. Garcia, Diaz, and Algieri were all able to time him. What good is speed if you can be timed?

Nah I wouldn't say his speed is over rated. He's very fast and throws flurries. That's his thing, what he's best at doing.

I agree, the speed never stopped Garcia knocking him out, never stopped Prescott knocking him out and I can't be bothered to name the list of fighters it didn't really bother who have put him on the floor.

It's Khan and his fans only positive so they just keep repeating it, they can't say he has a good chin, great power, amazing footwork or brilliant ring IQ so they just hammer on about speed.

For an Olympic silver medalist, Khan makes a lot of amateur mistakes.

His speed has slowed down a bit at 147lbs. I can't see him beating any of the top 6 guys i.e. Pacquiao, Mayweather, Bradley, Thurman, Porter and of course Kell Brook.

I disagree. I've never seen anyone hit the canvas faster than Khan.

He NEVER sits down on his punches when he does that. People need to put on 8oz gloves and try it with their fist balled up and then try it with their hands cuffed.
You can't punch that fast with a balled fist in that type of combination. That's why he relies on an accumulation of punches over time and not one punch power. He had to wear down Paulie Malinaggi for God's sake

It's just that hand speed is simply one of many huge elements. Watch the Diaz fight and tell me how great Khan's speed is.

Is there even such a thing?

I haven't seen anything resembling a Khan supporter on this forum for quite a long time. He seems to be one of the most hated guys in boxing right now.

Khan just flurries with those punches and he NEVER sits down on them - worse yet he has no head movement. His chin is up in the air on a pedestal.

The only thing virgil taught him is to clinch after the flurry ....which is ****ing dangerous given that he's falling in each time.

He's easy work for floyd, pac or brook. Hard KO.

Now, I'm not saying Khan ISN'T fast. He is. It's just that he doesn't have the ring IQ to enhance his speed.

Guys like Floyd, SRL, and Whitaker had the ring IQ to complement their speed.

The hand is quicker than the eye.

That explains why Garcia knocked Khan out with a punch he didn't see coming.

Khan fights like a robot. He has no Chin, no Ring IQ and has been very carefully matched under Hunter so we don't know if he has 'improved' at all. Khan is a limited fighter.
