I have conditioned zero fighters unlike Ariza, but that diet is not 5000+ kcal, nor does it contain much in terms of nutrients. It doesn't add up and is probably bull****.
To make matters worse, the original post actually says, "He consumes 6,500-6,800 calories a day, and burns 5,000 calories in training" 6,500+ is just an obscene amount of food.
its hard to say anything about ariza with all the success he's had but anyone that knows anything about sports science and nutrition will tell you some of the stuff ariza says is just total bull****.
It is estimated that you burn 800 calories per hour from a "typical" boxing workout. Lets say Khan runs 6miles that day. That is about 700 calories burned. Typically he works out 3-4 hours a day of boxing, so thats about 4000 calories burned already. His metabolism would also be through the roof well after he's stopped working out and just for his daily body maintenance he would need at least another 1000 calories burned from walking and sleeping. The guy can easily burn 5000 calories a day.
If Khan is burning 5-6000 calories a day from training and just daily body maintenance, how does that not validate the calories he's consuming which is 6500 calories? You expect a man who burns 5-6000 calories to consume 2000 calories a day? You try it and see what happens...
no way khan takes in that much calories, wlad and vit klit only consume 5000 and they are huge 240+ lb dudes.
i think the point is even if you assume kahn is drinking milk with the protien shakes and everything hes eating hes eating 2 servings of the total calories barely even hits 5000 calories.
Good job ignoring what everybody else is discussing. If you're going to try and take sides at least work out what the discussion is about first. This diet does not equate to 6500 calories is the point I'm trying to get across. I don't care how many calories you think he burns daily, that's entirely irrelevant to what we're discussing.
