I actually admired khan for saying he thought pacquaio lost after the marquez fight, until...

"Just setting the record straight, I did not tell pacquioa to retire, the time I thought it was a close fight n may have lost it or draw, but wen I saw replay manny won by 2-3 rounds, he still has 3_5 fights in him left. I respect manny + I aint talked bad about him. We 1 team"

  2. It was a big back track wasn't it?
Now everything has died down since the fight, I will say that I thought it was extremely close. I would have given it to manny by one round, but would have had no arguments had it have gone to jmm. I can't see honestly how either of them could have won the fight by 8-4 or 9-3 though. Jmm has the measure of PAC IMO. The reason he does so well is he takes a risk every time manny comes forward and fight fire with fire rather than being mesmerised by manny. Additionally, jmm maintains a stance and guard while manny comes forward before firing back. Other guys like Hatton failed because they can't cope with the speed, but did nothing to improve their defence to help, and traded rather thanriding out the storm of mannys first 3-4 punches and thenfire back.
Basically jmm has always instinctively known how to look more effective against manny.

When you're a person who doesn't quite think before he speaks, then you'll be doing a lot of back-tracking in life. That's just the way Khan is. It shouldn't be a surprise to us any more. On air, he was just being honest and calling things the way he, and the rest of us, saw them. He probably recieved some **** from Pac fans (who'll jump on anyone who criticizes their man), and after articles/reports made note of his JMM favouritism, he then probably felt the need to change his mind and say something nice about Manny to make it all better. And because he's never been a good talker to begin with, he came across as clueless, arrogant and inconsistent in everything he's said since.

    "We 1 team"

I think he just looks up to Pac a lot. And so what Pac thinks of him is always gonna' be important. Not to mention, he's the main guy at the Wild Card, and so maintaining a friendly relationship with him and creating an environment where everyone gets a long, is good for everybody. And considering how in this day and age of instant information/gossip/rumours, the slightest of comments can be taken out of hand and misunderstood very easily. Khan probably felt it was important to quickly make it known that he's not disrespecting Pac.

It is a back track but the guy is human.

Khan is a young guy who has been put into the spotlight at an early age.

I've done way more stupid things than he has and so will all of you, just ours don't get played out in the media.

I think he's a good kid, yeah he should sometimes think before he speaks but I like seeing the honest human side of him.

As for the people around him, they do come off as being complete tits!!!
