I was just watching an interview with him on Sky Sports, both he and the interviewer mention Peterson and Ortiz for his next fight, Khan going on to say that GBP would prefer Peterson. They then mentioned Judah to him which he seemed ambivalent about, replying by stating his ambition to face Mayweather in 2012. The only fight that makes sense to me before he moves up to 147 is the winner of Bradley-Alexander, yet "official" talk of this seems to have disappeared. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this is?

I believe his intention is to have a fight in England in April against either Peterson or Ortiz, and then fight Bradley/Alexander in June/July. He and Goldenboy has stated this a few times. He wants to fight 3 times in 2011

we all know that this is just a stay busy fight for Khan in between his Maidana and Bradley/Alexander bouts. That they are looking at a relatively live guy in Peterson should be a pleasant surprise. Its certainly not a walk over fight and might not be as exciting to some as other potential ones, its not a bad fight.

Judah is fighting Kaizer Mabuza for the IBF title, so that wont be happening next, although if Judah gets the title, and Bradley and Alexander fdo have a rematch clause, it would be awesome if Khan fought him in July (if he won the title of course), and then a december fight with the victor of Bradley-Alexander, with possibly all 4 belts on the line.

I think its pretty obvious Peterson is gonna be next, which is a shame, as he's very bland, if it is, hope Khan puts on a clinic and ko's him.

Really? I didn't know that. I hope that is the case, because it works out better for Khan. It gives him more training camps under Roach.

Would the rematch have to be instant?

One of the parties might not fancy a rematch depending how the fight goes

My understanding of it is that the WBC is not putting their belt up should Alexander lose. So if Bradley beats him, the WBC belt goes vacant and they'll probably put it up for JMM-Morales even though I've also read Morales is gunning for the fight to be at lightweight. So who ****ing knows at this point.

The Bradley/Alexander winner WILL fight Amir Khan for unification.

    Khan's said it.
    Bradley's said it.
Devon's stupid, so he'll figure it out eventually.

The rematch could be instant if there's a controversial winner. Maybe.
