    That's not true, Jerome.

You lost the bet, and you should have honoured it. And even then, if leaving this site permanently is too much, then at least pretend you've left!

You refusing to stick to a promise, just makes it worse.

Degale was fighting Liverpools very own John Ruiz Clone, you dont need to eff all on the ropes against a hugger and can look as natural as you want. Lets see if Degale would have looked so comfortable had it been a world class banger. Even Khan looked awesome moving out of danger against Kotelnik.

And there's one thing looking like a ragdoll against a SFW gate keeper, and another against p4p ko specialist.

he deliberately fought that way to entertain and also test himself.

just like when pac got hit by uppercuts from clottey and margarito,he stands and lets them do it!

he likes to make it look like fights are tht not just total one sided domination for 12 straight rounds!.jeez.

Khan did start fighting on Instinct and Heart, you're right, but only because he was demoralised by Maidana's power, as I had told you in a previous thread.

Fact is Jerome, you would be hating on Khan right now if he played it safely by jab jab run run run all night.

I couldn't care less if Khan did become the Khan of the Gomez night but there was a big difference from that to this fight. He's got a cheeeeen in this fight.

i see what your saying. but one major difference is that last time he faced a fighter with good power he got sparked out in 54 seconds. This time, he took everything he had and didnt even go down once.

If you notice, khan boxed well to begin with. He was fighting at range and getting out the way while getting quality shots off non stop. Its after the half way stage that Khan started getting clipped. I think he just wanted to be macho and prove people wrong a bit too much. I think he felt maidanas power and thought he had taken the best of it. he probably didnt think Maidana could carry that much power to the late rounds.

Once khan had been drawn into a brawl, its very hard to get out of it. It was down to survival the last 3 rounds and he did look terrible. If you go by the last 3 rounds only then your case is valid. But if you see how khan handled maidana when he was sticking to the game plan and using his head, then there is a big improvement from the gomez fight to now.

Dont forget he is only 24 years old. only had a few fights under roach. he is far from finished and there is still loads of room to improve. you cant say the potential isnt there?

He did the one thing that should have shut you up - he took Maidana's power. You would call a glass-jawed ***** if he had kept behind the jab all night and got an easy UD. You have such a hard-on for Khan, get your balls off his chin, you're a bigger fan of his than Lazarus.

  8. your intelligence is a myth. khan's lateral movement and footwork has vastly improved. his defense is also much much better. what are you talking about? he knows how to survive, he can punch to the body, he has good power and tremendous speed. his combination punching is also very good. roach and his team have improved on his natural talents. i havent watched many of his fights before he switched trainers, but now he's very close to being a complete fighter.

That's the exact same **** I said...but to some posters that is Hating....REALLY? And then you have the poster saying "**** the Haters...Khan was Impressive, he didn't Go Down"...REALLY? So because he kept getting hit with big shots and didn't get KTFO...this is somehow an impressive performance...REALLY?

For the Hardcore Boxing Fan (not a nuthugger) and those who appreciate a Skilled Boxer. What I saw was another FLAWED FREDDIE ROACH FIGHTER WITH FAST HANDS AND NOTHING ELSE!!! His defense was awfull. And the sad part about that is that he was fighting a fighter that was designed to look good against...DEFENSIVELY. Because Maidana is not a skilled fighter. He has NO Jab, No Movement, Not accurate and very slow. Maidana was designed for a fast fighter to move, elude, evade, bob n' weave and look good all night long...This fight should have been a Complete SHUT-OUT!!! But Khan got hit over & over again by a less skilled (No skill Actually) far inferior fighter. But this somehow proves the "Haters" wrong...REALLY, SERIOUSLY?

It's amazing how these posters in ESB (other forums are a little more knowledgeable) arbitrarily picks who to label an over-hyped Bum/Overrated Hype-Job and who to label IMPRESSIVE. Example: Khan get bombed by a slow-ass fighter with no skill, while looking completely gassed by round 8...and is called IMPRESSIVE!!! Andre Berto goes 12 rounds with a Skillful Fast SouthPaw that just took an undefeated Hatton 12 Rounds and Shane Mosley 12 Rounds also...Berto goes 12 Rounds and took shots from a VERY SKILLED FIGHTER....Yet he's called a bum/hypejob/overrated. And let's not even mentioned the ESB love that Juanma got for SURVIVING 12 rounds versus a 26-12 journeyman Rogers Mtagwa while looking Completely AWFUL!!!

Damn....What Happened to ESB? This used to be a great Website Forum for the Hardcore Boxing Fan. Now it's just full of Nuthuggers and posters who's opinions of a fighter is always based on their like or dislike of the PERSON.

As a Khan fan, overall I agree. Khan did not show 'effective' footwork or headmovent at any point.
He couldnt control the fight with effective footwork at long range. He did not stick to the body and went head hunting after the 1st round.
He wasted too much energy running.
He fought an amateurish fight at times. At close range, he has no clue what to do other than cover up.
He tried to emulate Manny at points during the fight, touching gloves round 1 and 11, raising hands, turtle defence.
He should just be himself in the ring.
But Khan did prove that he has a lion heart and that his chin is not bad as we all thought, infact it maybe ok.

    Physically, he also looked soft.

getting a HOF trainer in roach and sparring with the best stablemates around would do wonders for you and your confidence especially if you are sparring the best boxer in the world.

it's always a bad idea to put your balls on the line if you want to try and bull**** your way out of it later.

i didnt say that post was hating.

But daryll your right in saying this site is loaded with nuthuggers. too many of them. but this site is also full of haters.
When khan fought malignaggi who is very skilled but has no power, people said ''malignaggi has no power''. now he fought someone with less skill and mad power, ''he should have outboxed him 12 rounds he was MADE for khan''.
In the 140 pound division, who do YOU think khan should fight? who would you give him credit for beating?

I guarantee you IFF he heats bradley, the haters will say ''bradley is over hyped american, he has no punching power so he was made 4 khan''.
