    With my 30th birthday occurring tomorrow (And this fight taking place a little more than a week after I was born) I decided to make good use of my weekend free time to do what else but link our classic forum members to a generous helping of classic bouts.

    A day after I uploaded this the site Asian Boxing uploaded it... What a cosmic coincidence of timing... I'm pretty sure it's just a copy of what I uploaded but that's cool I guess, if more people end up being able to see it. :eek:

    He actually took on the much better competition of the two Galaxy brothers... Vasquez himself was a great fighter, in my opinion a great Puerto Rican fighter than either Rosario or Cotto. Check out his surreal list of 122 pound title defenses. His win up at featherweight against the extremely underrated Eloy Rojas is one of the best lower weight scalps of the 90's, especially considering the size difference between the two men.

    Yeah I saw that copy as well. I think mines of better quality but I'm not a technical genius on video specs so I can't say for certain. :lol:

    Happy 30th for yesterday brother!

    It's always surprised me that this was a SD, I thought Khaokor won handily if I'm honest. Excellent performance by the more talented but less stone-fisted of the twins, better than anything Khaosai did imo as was the win over Moon.

    Vasquez really went on to have a good career after this and the other setbacks to Avelar, Contreras and Lora. Not a great talent or fighter overall but one who really persevered like you say and never lost belief in himself.
