Who wins at SFW and how? Three year career overlap for potential real-world meeting notwithstanding, let's just say anachronistic peak vs. peak.
I think that Galaxy would win this , dont know for certain , but its just because i have him a t number 1 at this weight , but Tapia is probably number 2 , so maybe either wins . I think Galaxy though
Tapia had a hell of a chin in his prime, and showed that he could deal with a pure power-puncher when he defeated Danny Torres. I say he boxes his way to an early lead, withstands a late change, and emerges with a close, but clear UD.
The edge must go Galaxy, as his one weakness, a soft chin, would not be a factor against the light-ish punching Tapia. Galaxy to edge a classic war WU15 9-6. even easier in Krungthep Mahanakho Amorn Rattanakosin Mahintara Yudthaya Mahadilok Pohp Noparat Rajathanee Bureeom Udomrajniwes Mahasatarn Amorn Pimarn Avaltarnsatit Sakatattiya Visanukram Prasit.
i think tapia. he was hell of alot faster than galaxy and far better boxing ability. poeple seem to remember him as a fighter but he was a pretty competative boxer. what khaosai doesnt have is a good defence and a workrate. his main weapon is that brutal left hand he uses his right arm almost to warn them of his approach. do you know what i would think tapia could take this very easily...i feel bad now that i have picked a wbo title holder over a ibhof inductee better wash my fingertips
Tapia was too good all-around for Galaxy....blazing hand speed, tungsten chin, high work rate, and slick counter punching skills. Galaxy was gutsy, strong as an Ox, and hit like hell, but was limited skill-wise. Tapia had the chin and defense to withstand Galaxy's onslaught and outbox him. Tapia UD.
I have watched a lot of video, and decided that Tapia uses his deeper toolbox to win a clear decision.
i think this thread is great because i think the tapia wouldent have just a good chance against galaxy... but also against the fellow great mark too sharp johnson. there two things however that needs to be in order for tapia to win, 1. he needs to do what he does best, when he is a outside fighter, he is arguably great. but when he is a inside fighter he gets hit about litterly 5x as much which i cost him in his controversial losses to ayala and his controversial win against medina. 2. he cant showboat... i cant stand saying that because tapia is such a joy to watch because he looks like hes having fun in the ring and wants that joy to be shared with audiance when he waves his hands and sticks his head out like mongoes trying to taunt a cobra... its like positve clowning. but one thing i would be on, i cant see any fighter denting tapia's chin, he took the best shots two of the hardest punching super flyweights of all time in romero and konadu and other then a slip that was varified in replay against konadu, he dident even flinch against power punches. i cant garantee, but i would bet alot of money that tapia could take bombs against hamed, morales and pacquio and not fall... maybe not win hehe, but not fall
