This would have been an interesting match up between the powerful puncher-brawler (Galaxy) against the speedy boxer-puncher (Too Sharp). Johnson was the kind of fighter that would gladly fight fire with fire if he knew that he was safe to do so. Against a guy like Galaxy I think Johnson would be more inclined to box at range using his jab and quick counters. If Too Sharp boxes with discipline much like against Ratanachai Sor Vorapin I think he would be able to beat Khaosai Galaxy convincingly by decision. However, I can also see Galaxy stopping Johnson while behind on the scorecards. Not an easy fight for both guys but what a match up between 2 talented southpaws.
I think Galaxy is overrated personally alot of title defences against weak opposition and never unified either. Johnson's resume wasn't outstanding either but he was ducked heavily in fairness to him. I think Johnson looks more impressive on film, but his tendency to go to war I think might be his undoing against Galaxy.
I was just getting ready to say that- Johnson liked to exchange too much and this would be his downfall. If Johnson boxed he could pretty easily outbox KG but his mentality is to exchange more then he has to and he would get caught up doing that once too many times.
