2-1 ADA, but I'm not married to it and unless something changes drastically in the second half wouldn't be fussed about this being scored wide in either direction. This is basically televised on-the-job learning for both... the kind best left in the gym.

 

BoxRec has AAT listed at 5′9½″ and ADA at 5'6".

Not a snowball's chance in hell of them only being 3½″ apart in reality; either Abdulzhaparov is a couple inches shorter than advertised or Temarbulatov closer to six foot, or a bit of both.

 

Marginally curious to see if Temarbulatov continues the southpaw experiment in R5 but honestly this fight is losing me more and more with each passing second. Wish it was only a 4-rounder, and...with both debuting, why the hell isn't it?

 

Abdulzhaparov's overhands are what you'd expect a barfly to throw in a badly choreographed chaotic melee scene set in a saloon in a Western from the 50's. Just comically bad.

I'd readily believe that he and that Fedoristova chick from earlier both took up the sport yesterday.

 

In the first minute of the 6th, Temarbulatov is hurt repeatedly by bowling ball body shots, and circles out behind a long lumpy left jab, gasping. He then is able to trot around as Abdulzhaparov seems to have gassed himself out, throwing pot shot jabs and then falling in with a 1-2 that brushes the nape of the neck when Abdulzhaparov ducks in under it.

35 seconds to go, Abdulzhaparov pumps both fists out toward his target and scores a lucky hit with his right hand while not even looking, but Temarbulatov is able to clinch and then evade the rest of the way.

The round is a mess to score, pick what you like, or rather dislike less, "who did the least worst job", microcosm of the fight itself.

 

Verdict is... draw. Okay, whatever. Let's keep it moving now, hopefully no more filler stuff.

God damn it... another swinger.

The one hopeful saving grace here, though, is the Mongolian is 1-0 and KO1 blitzed his first opponent in 90 seconds. On the other hand, Garaev went six rounds in his own debut and only lost via SD (now 0-1).

 

(potentially) less than halfway over...

 

I just want the main event to get underway already so I can watch it, put away my laptop, and go take a ****. Just my sort of little black raincloud luck that if I were to try it now, I'd come back and have missed the first round.
