Baysangurov's straight right hand is very effective and precise almost all the time (when he chooses to use it). Unfortunately, there's not enough power in it... He caught Valenzuela straight on the chin already several times, but didn't even knock him down.

    Round 11

Baysangurov is squaring up directly in front of Valenzuela, letting him tee off and then just pumping in counter combos, letting his own offensive rhythm & Valenzuela's ungainliness conspire to be his defense, with all of Valenzuela's shots going wide behind his head while Baysangurov stamps him repeatedly with both hands. Baysangurov making Valenzuela blink with counter hooks and barely having to move his feet to make him miss wide overhands and haymakers while skewering him with head-turning counter rights.

    10-9 Baysangurov

    109-100 Baysangurov

I’m fine with this approach. Just to clarify, I was being extremely facetious with my use of the word favorite there. Pretty sure you knew but don’t want to be mistaken as someone who actually likes him lol

    Round 12

Baysangurov is repelling the last-ditch efforts of Valenzuela, still throwing big scything and corkscrew punches high and low but with a little more urgency on them, pushing off the ball of either foot to launch himself bodily inside for extra velocity and power. Baysangurov is lighting Valenzuela up with counter 1-2s after things settle down following a lengthy clinch, peppering his face in a corner until Valenzuela's knees buckle and he holds onto Baysangurov's arms. Break ordered, might have saved Valenzuela there. Desperate right hand by Valenzuela falling in, and Baysangurov counters with some hooks to head and body. Overhand right by Valenzuela blocked and Baysangurov smothers him against the ropes.

    10-9 Baysangurov

    119-109 Baysangurov

I can't imagine being a Stevenson fan even if I was a devoutly misogynistic Haitian-Canadian myself.

Why does the crowd look so nervous? They realize Baysangurov clearly won, right? :dunno

This isn't like the Ukrainian vs. Mexican fight earlier where it could go either way..

Well guys, this wonky card structuring has actually worked in my favor. That was the only fight I was really eager to see on this card, so while I'm baffled that it wasn't the main event I'm glad it didn't end up being a conflict (I have just enough time now for a shave & shower before going to have a meeting about Lil Butt with his counselor)

Any of you guys that want to can take over the RBR for the remaining fights. :deal:

It seems like Stevenson, by the way, is having a great time in Ukraine.

I’m taking a look at some of the opponents now that they’re starting to appear on BoxRec. These weren’t actually terrible opponents lol Dzemka lost in a split decision to Rafal Jackiewicz back in June, a fight that I caught on TVP, and arguably was robbed. And Bakhshyieu is one of UK-based Polish prospect Konrad Dabrowski’s losses. So not terrible level of opposition for the prospects tonight

Karen Chukhadzhyan's and Dilan Loza' records are identical, lol: 12 wins, 1 loss each.

Already past 11pm in Kiev and they still have three fights to get through. (one eight-rounder and two scheduled for ten).

Gonna be well past midnight local time when this wraps up.
