Agree totally. Mccloskey would be Kahn's toughest opponent to date without a shaddow of doubt. Mccloskey would beat all of Kahn's previous opponents without any doubt in my mind. If they all moved up to light welter that is But mainly I'm talking salita and kotelnik. Mccloskey would take them easy enough. This fight will be a case kahn's speed and McCloskeys awkward style. Like McCloskey says himself he's a "tough nights work for anybody".
Got to favour McCloskey in this one. Not sure Khan's chin would hold up against a real live opponent.
Doubt Frank Warren would allow it after what Ajose did to Bradley Pryce years ago. More is the pity. After the dissappointment of Ionut's promoter's pulling the plug on the WBC final eliminator with a week to go and Ajose having been persuaded albeit reluctantly to give up the British title Barry Hearns matchroom made an offer to Don King for Deveon Alexander to defend the WBC against Ajose in a voluntary but Don is not listening.
So what's he doing next? Why did he give it up if he didn't want to? A british title defence would have kept him active and kept the cobwebs away.
Think you are being unrealistic with those odds... McCloskey would definitely be the underdog in this fight by a long shot (certainly in the eyes of the bookies) and for an early KO he'd definitely be worth a punt IMO ithis fight is unlikely to happen but you'd be out of business as bookie if those are the odds you're offering
Although McClosckey is prob a mile better than Salita. This is still a silly fight to make, being a WBA title holder Khan is supposed to be fighting World Level fighters, why then would you want to see him drop down to Euro Level suddenly??
The British title fight scheduled against Daws was 2 weeks before the long awaited WBC final eliminator against Lenny Daws. He wanted to fight Daws and frankly nice lad Daws but nobody can genuinely think he can defeat Ajose however it would be considered careless etc had he picked up an injury or whatever to then go into the most important fight of his career to date. Anyway unfortunately we were compelled to give up the title reluctant and then they pulled the plug with 6 days to go. Still makes mad when I think about it.
--------------------------------------------- Are you saying I'd be out of business because it would happen or because nobody would take them as you would want increased odds like say 10/3 or 10/1 even? I wouldn't give those odds (10/1) Because McCloskey has stopped his last 3 opponents and is undefeated. Salita was 4/1 against but that was because he was undefeated also but even then was the underdog. Anyway since your a punter and I'm a punter and the fight does happen in the next 12 months be sure to look out for me because we can arrange it on betfair if you like.
The mad world of boxing buddy, shame though, want to see your man mixing it in higher class, as he took care of the british level fairly easily. I agree cant see Frank wanting to put him against Ajose, your man is a threat. But thought the unbeaten tag wouldve been a draw
