2 months ago and won a UD against the game Viktor Polyakov. Pretty solid result considering the long layoff. Decent enough result for him to get a solid domestic opponent later in the year? This content is protected
@f1ght3rz Think you could give us English speakers a quick rundown of that interview if you get the chance? In the meantime I'll watch with the poor English translations that Youtube provides.
Interview was before the fight. Gevor says he's going to take the comeback 1 step at a time a bit gray due the poor Youtube translation - but it sounds like he said he's been active in the gym for most of the 5 years and was never really "fully retired."
Gevor said that he is just trying to find his old form and getting into better shape overall, it will last a few couple of months but he missed fighting in the ring so he came back after five and a half years. He is complaining about the whiny fighters in Germany who doesn't want to fight anyone out there so he is laughing about the ducking attitude all around and says he would fight anyone anywhere anytime. He also talked about his training camp before the Polyakov fight (the Interview was held one day before the fight two months ago). He was talking about cutting weight to make the SMW, he lost about 20 Kilogram during the camp from 98 to 76 Kg. His promoter Thomas Nissen also talked about possible fights in the future and he said names like Feigenbutz, Zeuge or Abraham should contact him if they want to fight Gevor. I think Abraham vs Gevor is likely this year.
My step dad is actually from Germany and speaks it fluently.... I've always wanted to learn the language but never got around to it.
