Sánchez baiting Baysangurov in with poke jabs from the southpaw and orthodox stance while circling with his arms down making slow, close passes. When the Russian jumps in throwing power shots they are ducked and Sánchez is threading needle with hooks and overhands. Cuts and swelling now on Baysangurov's face, caused by legal blows. Same physician that looked at Sánchez earlier now having a gander at Baysangurov. Cleared to go and they meet in the center of the ring, both landing straights on the mush. Hard left hook on the belt line by Sánchez. Baysangurov forced to give up ground as Sánchez flurries emphatically. Baysangurov tries uppercuts to no avail, getting outlanded, and holds. Sánchez ducks a chopping right and Baysangurov flops over him in embrace again. Rough stuff until the ref breaks them apart. Sánchez continues either forcing Baysangurov backward or getting grappled.

TKO from cuts is maybe the surest avenue to not get robbed...

 

Baysangurov unraveling - forced on the backfoot getting tagged, occasionally jumping in and missing wide shots, and clinching relentlessly.

Sánchez just keeps putting in that work - showing chutzpah in the late going just as he did versus Álvarez.

 

Baysangurov running out the clock - holding from the very first moments of round ten, gambling on whatever rounds are in the bank for him already with IBA's judges. He may be right in thinking he just needs to reach the final bell (though he should need a KO here by rights) - it'll be fascinating to see if Sánchez can work some magic in this final minute.

 

100% Sánchez offensively down the stretch. Baysangurov initiated more clinches than he threw punches in R10.

The whole YouTube live chat had Sánchez winning. Granted, some were silly 9-1 and 10-0 cards from people also spamming Venezuelan flag emojis. But even the Russians thought Baysangurov at best could have squeaked out a draw.

Really curious to know how wide the judges' cards for him were. I don't think a path to him winning that realistically existed. VERY lucky break.

Commentator says they have a common opponent in Viddal Riley. Major asterisk on that - Manasyan defeated him in the Youth Olympics eleven years ago, when they were teenagers.

Austine "The Magnificent Dancer" Nnamdi - a Nigerian banger who lives & trains in Abu Dhabi - lost his pro debut to Riley via UD4 in 2019.

Riley at 16 and Riley at 21 probably were not apples to apples...
