what do you guys use on a injured muscle from a knee or low kick, i get kicked in the side of my leg alot and suffer from dead legs, i was wondering if anyone has a good treatment?
i put ice on the leg and some tiger balm, is heat better?
    any advice?

Generally speaking, Cold is best used immediately after an injury or if you re-aggrivate an existing injury.

Heat is good once you enter the soreness stage, like a day after. There are things you can do, like using heat then cold as well, but this sort of thing should be determined by a trainer.

keep stretching it out and walking around. u don't want to let it get stiff to the point where ur muslce forgets how to work correctly.
for instance, don't favor it by limping on it

thanks, ithought i would let people know , what Koa said about ice being effective after the injury and heat whilst training. and i agree with what you said about walking around, i took a day off and i was in alot of pain, i got back to the gym and streched and took it easy and the injury is improved.
