Willie or any other descent fighter in Australia will never develop or reach their full potential as a pro boxer if you are matched with equal or less skilled boxers apart from gaining experience. Its important to take the odd tough fight now and again to keep boxers on their toes and give them a reality check to see whether they really have the passion and drive to succeed in this sporting industry. There's a lot factors involved that will justify my reasonings... Therefore, get behind and support those who are genuinely giving it a go! Its not how many times you fall, but how many times you get up and go again! learn from it and move on...
Sure Kickett could have Stayed home fighting easy comp his entire career but you gotta step up sooner or later , if i was Kickett i would have jumped ship when n the States and attempted to build a career over there , i dont know what his circumstances are but with his skills he could have earned a decent living over there whilst improving , Craig McEwen is doing alright over in Hollywood despite his limited skills for example .
