Here is my scorecard after watching the fight onfox, i have kicket winning 97 to 93. I must admit in the corner on the night I didnt know who won . I would like to see your cards . wk gs 10 1 9 10 2 9 10 3 9 10 4 9 9 5 10 9 6 10 10 7 9 10 8 9 10 9 9 9 10 10 97 - 93
I know that a few people I know that have nothing to do with either fighter believe that St Claire only won about 3 rounds. Interesting.
i know a very good judge of boxing. he says kickett won well. and says most of the blokes on this forum are dickheads....like i said. he is a very good judge....
Ive yet to see the fight. My brother used up nearly all our Broadband quota so now I have to go sparingly.
That's a bit uncalled for. Just because a couple of people don't agree with your scorecard, doesn't make the collective forum a bunch of dickheads. From what i have heard from respectable posters here, i think Kickett would have won. I get the feeling those who don't know how to score fights, had St. Clair winning rounds off in-effective aggression. Would love to see the fight. What this proved, is that Kickett is a world class fighter, who if stepped up gradually, can compete with these guys. He isn't where Khan is yet, but Khan has many more fights under the belt. Heaps of credit for Willie taking what was a very tough fight against an experienced ex champion. People who after the fight were saying Zappa would startch him are kidding themselves. This is the same guy who has been dropped more than once against domestic level journeyman from memory. I would love to see how Zappa faired against someone of St.Clair's calibre. My guess is he gets outboxed and drops a decision at best.
Its in the books as a W for kickett, move on get over it. I thought he won by 2 rds & would of learn't a **** load in that fight. Gary gave a great performance but he ate too many shots.
You are kidding point !all i saw was kickett on the back foot all night thats a sure sign of a great champion whose to scared to go toe to toe incase he gets hurt gary swallowed punches cause they had no effect all night. cause if they did he wouldnt be going forward great champ in the making mundine kickett on the back foot great to watch isnt it.....not,,,,,,,,,future champ in the making. if your not good enough get on your bike and ride,!!!!!!
A Judge thinks most of the guys on this forum are dickheads. OK. You come in here with about 100 posts saying this to guys on this site which is probably with out doubt the best boxing site around. Because Judges of Boxing in todays sport are such experts. Like ive said and i think you need to know i feel the scorecards were a bit harsh on StClair i thought myself the fight was close and it could have gone either way. But the thing that probably gave Kickett the decision is that no matter what StClair did he ate Kicketts Jab all night. And it made me think that also StClair is probably not going back to the top and Kickett however has a future. So of course thats brings in the politics of boxing. Now most of the decent guys on this site that are well respecting think the same thing here. They either have Kickett just winning or StClair just winning and for me that means alot. Not what your so called mate thinks that we are dickheads and not losing sleep over but i feel most of the guys that come to this site are very very knowledgable.
Great Post i thought id make a comment on this call also. Everyone is entitled to there opionion. A Boxing Judge thinking the posters on here are dickheads. Thats like Don King Calling Frank Warren a money hungry Idiot.:yep
i had it a draw 95 - 95 i gave rounds 1, 6, 7, 8, 9 to William round 2,3,4,5,10 to Gary i think alot of people aren't givin credit to Willie's work on the insidewhen against the ropes.... alot of the time it looked lke he was gettin hit when he was cathin the punches on his arms while landing his own counter upper cuts and stuff.... but at the same time i think Gary isnt gettin the credit he deserves from some (including the judges) for the work he did.... it was a great fight... im prob off a lil with my scoring it was much closer then the official score cards showed
