What a horrible performance from Galahad. One of the worst world title bouts I've seen, and I've seen a lot now.

How could you be proud of that performance, in a title shot?

The headbutts and clinching were ridiculous.

Presumably, after a warning, and a second warning, and a two point warning, he would have changed up. Maybe even after the first infraction.

The boxer plays the referee as well as the opponent.

He did that, so it's very excessive to say he should have been DQ'd.

Agree it was pretty awful though.

 Bravo for this thread. He's a grade A scumbag. That "performance" if you could even call it that, was appalling.

Agreed. Pathetic performance. Clinched all night, he should have had points deducted or been DQ'd.

I have to agree with that, too. What the hell was that ref doing. Standing so far away with all that clinching. Not even 1 point deduction, either.

The ref was useless. He should have took serious action after round 4 but let it go on for the whole fight. That ref would not have gotten away with it if Frank was sitting ringside!

Needed a point taken away mid-rounds, then go from there.

Galahad reminded me of Andre Dirrell against Curtis Stevens, though Dirrell was so much more talented he was able to win easily. But same level of intent, which is unacceptable in a championship fight like this one.

He needed a point taken off, for sure. Too many warnings.

I was sick and tired long ago of refs waiting until round six (if not even later) to issue the first serious warning to a fighter who has been holding on like an octopus from the get-go. They need to start deducting points by round 3 or 4 at the latest if the holding is excessive because 9 times out of 10 the fighter just continues doing exactly the same till they deduct a point and some even continue doing so until they deduct a second one or DQ their cheating ass. Excessive holding and spoiling isn't just unmanly and female dog-esque it also completely sucks the life out of a fight and ruins it as a spectacle for fans.

I'm OK with a warning but not a DQ McGrain has this about right on what I saw.
