Saturday 8th December@ Bonus Arena, Hull. 8x3min Morote is the former Spanish featherweight champion & the current WBC Latino title holder. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=313276&cat=boxer Tale of the tape ........Galahad............. Morote Age .....22.............. 32 Height ..5' 6.5"...... 5' 5.5" Record .12(5)-0 ..... 15(7)-2(1) Ivan Ruiz Morote. Xs - Size advantage. Though an inch shorter than Galahad Morote has fought most of his career at featherweight where he looks solid & physically strong. - Punches in bunches. Ivan puts together 3-4 shots salvos quite well, mixing up straight rights & uppercuts with his money shot, the left hook. - Front foot fighter. Ivan is more comfortable coming forward & letting his hands go from mid range, a naturally aggressive boxer-puncher. Os - Open to counters. His hands often drop during exchanges when he plants his feet & stands upright without much defensive awareness. He doesnt appear to have much rythmic variety & can be timed. - Lack of general speed. His punches dont have lot of snap & Morote is a little flat footed. - Questionable durability. In his only previous fight at 122lbs (for the EBU-EU title) he was stopped by a relatively light puncher. In other fights he appears to be fairly easily discouraged. All in all a good opponent for Galahad at this stage in his career & I think Galahad wins on points. I think he will be too quick & elusive for Morote, who is primarily a headhunter & will have problems trying to land leather on the unorthodox Galahad.

After watching more footage this is probably Galahad's toughest fight, Morote is more accomplished & experienced than Wale & less faded & more of a physical threat than Booth. Stylistically they should gel well & I think it could be a decent fight.
I watched a lot of Morote“s fights, even live. I think he will be bigger than gallahad, and he's tough, but Kid is way more skilled and fast. Good fight, but at 8 rounds Gallahad should get it.
What weight will they have to make? If the guys a natural feather and is 32 will 8st 10 not be hard work at short notice ?
I cant find any information about the weight :conf I'm assuming because its only an 8 rounder & most of Galahad's fights have been over the SBW limit it will be 9st or above.
Yeh your prob right as it's not for a title I'm guessing it wont matter too much. Was he not supposed to fight ryan Walsh?
Nice little breakdown there, Mo. Never seen Morote before, now i have an idea of what to expect. :good
Cheers Slip, I'd never seen or heard of him before yesterday but he's a decent operator. If he will cause Galahad problems it will be with his combinations but he needs to set his feet before he lets his hands go. The Kid is good at shifting distance & pivoting out so hopefully he can prevent Morote from getting too confident. I dont think the size difference will be much of an issue as the Kid has fought bigger opponents before & has been sparring with Ricky Burns recently. By all accounts he did very well & Billy Nelson was full of praise for him. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Galahad, have you seen him in action before?
Galahad TKO4 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xv...d-vs-ivan-ruiz-morote-picked-up-in-rd-3_sport C5 coverage from last night, rounds 3 & 4 only. The Kid looked good, very sharp & landed a sweet right hook to finish.
He boxed well, softened him up and finished the job clean, glad to see he wants to fight the likes of Frampton, Quigg.
Did he say he wanted to fight quigg and frampton? I thought he said he's a level above so I was thinking Donaire next!!!!
