Early in the 10th, they connect simultaneous hooks and Lynes seems to hurt Witter. Again with an overhand right later on, Witter on ***** St. briefly. From there on out Witter outboxes him, and hurts him late with his own wide right hook.

Witter working the right jab to the body very effectively in the eleventh.

38 year old Witter seems to have more in the tank than 34 year old Lynes.

Wild haymakers from Lynes, not catching Witter with anything tidy as the older man swandives against him. Witter is showboating.

Commentators think Lynes won 10 and 11 on aggression.

 

If he wants to renew his call-out of the Magic Man, I think Matt Hatton can probably find some room for him in his day planner. :think

 

Sloppy chaos on the inside, that's the twelfth. When they get broken up, it's Witter posing from a few feet away and then sprinting off when Lynes advances. NICE counter right hook by Witter, rocked Lynes coming in. Witter gets him in a neck crank. Another right hook by Witter. Right jab from the hip. Witter looking slick and quick. Lynes flattering him. Witter uses several fake-out steps to get Lynes reacting before settling on a direction and then spinning him around. Slick defense by Witter as Lynes badly misses his 1-2. FLUSH counter left hand straight to the teeth as Lynes charges in. Witter clinches like mad. Spoiling, running, elbowing, holding - but also landing the much cleaner punches in between all that. They tumble together, slipping in embrace. Just at the bell Lynes catches Witter in one more clinch and hoists him up in the air - looking ready to body slam him. Instead Witter smooches him on the lips. Ick.
