Just looking at boxrec for the small hall thread and found this fight. Channel 5 show, Saturday 12th May Kid Galahad vs Josh Wale WBC International Super Bantamweight Title. Not a bad fight, Wale is back on a decent run of form.
Nice domestic fight. Wale is pretty tall and rangey, not a bad fighter at all and will probably pose a few problems for the unorthodox style that Galahad uses. Neither punch very hard so I see this going the distance, with Galahad getting the nod. Glad to see Wale back at 122, his best weight imo.
I'm looking forward to this, I think the Kid will have too much for Wale. Good matchmaking, Wale isnt a dangerous puncher & will give Galahad the room to box & move. I'd like to see Galahad fight a good, come-forward pressure fighter soon but I'm a fan of the Kid. I like his style, a pure boxer with good speed & hopefully he'll start to sit down & get more rotation & tourque on his punches, especially his hooks. Galahad UD
Do you think so? I know Booth is past his best now and that super bantam's never really been his weight class but it's a decent win nonetheless for someone of his relative inexperience. If he gets through this, he'll be able to get up to British level I envisage without doubt. The division is strong without doubt domestically at the moment and his seeming lack of power might hold him back vs the likes of Frampton & Quigg but I'd expect him to challenge at British level at some point.
Generally speaking this a good fight , not sure what the WBC international title is all about but non the less its a good fight between 2 men @ British level I fancy Galahad but Wale will have his moments
Wale fades quickly but is a pretty decent offensive fighter and should force Galahad out of his comfort zone a bit, and force him to show summat. Good fight.
