Agree. Curry was ultra talented and looked fantastic in victory. Gavilan was made of tougher ingredients in my view. His fight with Gil Turner (a great talent himself) was a testament to those Sugar Cane fields he worked his way out of.
Admire both fighters but I see Gavilan beating Curry. Curry’s more methodical and precise punches make it competitive early but Gavilan’s resilience, adaptability, and faster combinations helps him pick up the pace and outworks Curry to win by decision or late round stoppage.
