Who's Kid Galivan?

 

This was a mistake posting it in the General Forum. Gavilan by Decision.

 

Mayweather by brutal KO. Galivan had skin like paper and a chin made of china. The overwhelming power of Mayweather would have absolutely scorched Galivan early in the peice.

 

Looks like a great fighter. Probably would've been tough on anyone from Simon Brown, Buddy Mc Girt, Marlon Starling or Floyd. Both guys had great balance and good leverage on their punches. I see that Gavalin defeated Basillio. Pretty impressive. I am going with Floyd on points but not without dropping some rounds.

I don't think your taking into account just how chinny the guy is. He made Zab Judah look like Micky Ward in comparison.

 

Damn. Trying to get you back for the Jones v Tyson comments. Maybe not quite so obvious next time.

 

Well you did vote for Floyd by KO, so I'm hoping you're not actually being serious, considering Gavilan is known for having one of THE best chins of all time.

 

I voted in the poll also, bit of a Donkey vote. To be honest I don't think this is going to be a worthwhile thread in thisw forum, as said by others already. I would probably take Mayweather by decision, but my views on modern v past day fighters have been put forward too many times to be bothered reitterating.

Wouldn't seem very believable if i posted that and then voted for a decision win would it? I do realise that he had a great chin. Even the average boxrec warrior could find that out pretty easily.
