That's pretty flawed logic. You can't say one guy is better defensively than another based on 1 round.

Jones had 22 title fights between 1993 and 2002. So already I question the validity given that the author can't even get the number of title fights correct. Or perhaps they took 18 title fights that proved their point.

Second, I said prove Jones was hit less in his prime, not just in title fights. And if you're gonna use title fights, count all of them. Oh, and count how many of those title fights were against RANKED contenders or fellow champions.

And last, if you would like to me to concede the point that based on your data, Jones was a lesser defensive fighter (and your comparison of Brady to Vick is assanine, we are comparing two great defensive fighters, not a great one and a mediocre one) then your data also disproves the theory that Mayweather was more accurate than Jones.

    Now go find accurate data.

Ironic you talking about admitting you were wrong or flipping the switch. Consider the source.

Let me ask you, how many title fights does Jones have listed from 1993-2002? Go check boxrec, and tell me if you count 22 or 18. If I'm wrong, I will concede the point that Jones was hit more (but not that he had worse defense, since Jones fought better fighters overall in that time span). If not, like I said, go find accurate data. It's dubious that they got the title fights wrong OR just didn't include four of their choosing.

Also, read the whole thread. A few of you fanatics have pointed out that Mayweather was more accurate.

I read the whole thread and that was not the argument. we already put forth the argument that floyd had better defense you said roy did we have proof (actual numbers) that floyd got hit less. where is your proof that roy got hit less:deal

You dodged my statement. Again. Found this tidbit for you too.....
    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3025548

So like I said, find numbers for all of Jones fights in his prime, not just his title fights (which exclude more than you know, like his Virgil Hill fight) or if you're gonna use title fights, use ALL of them, not just select ones.

    Read it again.

BTW Bigtime, as I said, you cannot talk about flipping switches or conceding points based on numbers. I pointed out how many fights PBF had in each weight class as opposed to Jones, and you tried to argue. Numbers proved you wrong, and you never responded. You pointed out PBF winning against Ring champions and Jones didn't. I pointed out there were no Ring champions, and you started talking about a weak era, sidestepping the topic. Jones fought more champions, and you dodged that that too. You dodge stats all the time. Or dismiss them. So if stats are your equivalent on PWNING someone, then you should keep quiet.

Damn thug, you scare me. Like I said pimp nasty, find numbers that are for Jones prime, not just his title fights. And if you are gonna use just his title fights, don't use a select sample, use all of them, because it invalidates the numbers.

So either A) They can't count or do correct math because their tally is off by 4 fights or B) they only used certain title fights, which invalidates the data. Which is it?

I don't need to find BETTER data because you found incomplete data. Your data didn't even answer my question. You picked something from a select few fights.

And I never said YOU said Mayweather was more accurate, I said it was mentioned in the thread, and it was.

PS. Owning someone means actually proving a valid point, not just cursing alot. Sure that might go way over your head, but I figured I'd try.

LOL. So I find data and you want me to find more data to pwn your ass. Why dont you do some research since your ass is the one on the backfoot. You think 4 extra fights would do anything to make up a 6% point difference? Floyd Mayweather only has 18 title fights. So naturally they would take 18 of Roys. You are lucky they took his fights from '93 to 02 and didnt take the last 6 years of his career because that would truly be appalling. Just admit you got owned. Prime title fights, Floyd better defender then Jones. Get over it idiot.

I think Floyds technique is better then Roy.

Roy's style was unorthodox and based on insane speed and ability to lead with punches at different angles.

Floyd's defense is better. Roy's defense was more so the ability to counter so quickly you didn't want to throw at him. That's how I see it. Roy had defense but not like Floyd, because Floyds offense wasn't like Roys and vice versa. + Roy carried his power way better then Floyd higher in weights and countering hurt his opponents more then what Floyd did.
