LaMotta wasn't exactly slow, he was quick enough to cut off the ring and tag SRR...But from what has been said about Harry Greb...LaMotta probably doesn't possess the fifth gear that Greb did...Does LaMotta get slaughtered? Or can he live with Norfolk?

LaMotta could potentially win, but I would be inclined to go with Norfolk, who was more proven at light heavyweight.

LaMotta's resume at LHW isn't very impressive. I have to give the edge to Norfolk.

LaMotta leaves no impression. Norfolk by wide UD, maybe as bad a beating as Lloyd Marshall gave Jake. Or worse.

LaMotta is one of my favorites but Id be inclined to go with Norfolk. Norfolk wasnt unbeatable though so LaMotta could pull it out. It would take a young LaMotta though.

I agree with those who pick Norfolk...Too big, too physical. But also think that Jake was a very good technical fighter in his approach to fighting in an aggressive style. I think he competes with Norfolk...and could win. LaMotta's jab will find Norfolk repeatedly...but still go with Norfolk's physicality.

I would tentatively go with LaMotta. I know Norfolk is the ***ier pick but he two things seemed to bother him (going from memory) inside work and activity...

I've only seen Norfolk against Bill Tate, and Tate, while huge, wasn't offering much resistance.
Norfolk looked good but I think LaMotta would have good pretty good against Tate that night.

Where are people getting this idea that Norfolk would hold a significant size advantage over Lamotta? Norfolk was about 5-10 and 175, was he not?

He was actually 5' 8" and at his best weighed between 170 and 180 pounds. He wouldnt have had a huge size advantage over Jake but he was more proven against bigger guys, arguably. Im not selling Jake short though. He was past his prime when he won the title so most people havent seen him at his best. He wasnt unbeatable and neither was Norfolk. I think its a pretty tough call but Im going with Norfolk by a slight edge.

LaMotta was tough on the inside and strong and underrated, this is a tough and rugged battle but I like Giacomo in a close but UD
