Hard one to call as I have seen no film of Norfolk, but Norfolk was a better fighter in his day, off his record, than Smith was in his, so I'll take Norfolk.
I have to agree with Old Fogey on this - Oakland Billy Smith is a good fighter with some impressive wins but they don't match up to Kid Norfolk, IMHO :bbb I lean toward Norfolk by stoppage in the later rounds because by my count he starched more quality heavyweights which leads me to believe he was a harder slugger than Smith and had a bit better chin.
Norfolk wide on points assuming Smith turned up with his head right. If he turns up with his head wrong, God knows.
