This may be a dumb question, but why would they bid for it? I don't see any connection between either fighter and Sergio

Sergio Martinez runs a promotional company in Spain. Kiko Martinez is Spanish. Its a big fight in Spain.

 

Surprised that they have won this and i sincerely hope this isnt a reason for the fight not to happen now. Kiko would still be a very good fight and a massive test.

I would only favour this match being foregone if Quigg/Munroe/Galahad was in the other corner

 

Can't wait to see how Frampton handles a badass away from home.

Why? Frampton has just beat an ex world champ shot to **** maybe but still a decent name and is now on the fringes of a world class ranking.He would be far better off trying to get a fight against someone in the lower reaches of the top 10.As for Martinez since beating a past his best and chinny Bernard Dunne 5 years ago his only achievements of note are losing twice to Rendall Munroe and beating an old Jason Booth.Ridiculous? no I don't think so.

 

Would actually be good for him to go over and experience hostile atmosphere

Would be a good learning experience for Frampton to go abroad this. Is Frampton still after the Euro title though or will he defend his inter-thingy belt against 'international opposition'?
