Good point with the ropes. I just think some gyms offer tough love and people here act like it's brutal and ****. This is clearly one of them. Vera doesn't seem like he's getting the RIGHT type of tough love though. I don't think it's so much of Anne Wolfe being careless but moreso JK being cold as ****.

The gloves thing is crucial too. That's hard to do though when you got a guy like Kirkland just trying to bomb everyone out...even in sparring. The ref is INSIDE the ring. Anne is OUTSIDE. Hard to switch roles from coach to ref.

I still feel JK needs to spar bigger guys who can take his shots and still give him a rough time. He doesn't bother with defense because his offense is that damn good, but he needs to feel and find the NEED to move his ****in' head...just some sorta feather fisted SMW should do.

I have boxed before and getting a concussion in a sparring match is not good period.. You do realize that a concussion is mild form of brain damage that only gets worse not better..
Ruff sparring session only put more millage on the odometer and lessens a fighter ability to take punishment .. A good example is Kronks gym, which is know for it Gym wars but you will also notice that all of those fighter were chiney .. Long enduring sparring matches I can see the purpose but long drawn out beating in sparring only damages the fighter.

I agree, someone should've stopped the session much sooner.

But sometimes the gym wars are the roughest part of a fighters career.

I've personally seen some seriously brutal sparring sessions, but both guys were dishing out damage, any time it got one sided someone would stop it, or at least stop the round.

The only thing wrong was that it resembled Zelenoff v. Heavy Bag.
