I unfortunately killed two of my opponents in the ring. Never a world champ, but licked five champions of my time. I even beat Babe Ruth in one of my
bouts. i beat HOF champions to boot. Who am I ?

He was the 1st guy I thought of too, But he was a World Champion, unless you don't count the NBA Championship.

Max Baer only killed one man in the ring. He is often given credit for Carnera's killing of Schaaf in the ring but thats debateable. Its more likely Schaafs death was precipitated by the after effects of meningitis he had been suffering from. Either way, its a little like giving Fullmer credit (kind of a bad conotation of that term) for Paret's death. Im much more inclined to link ring fatalities with the fight in which they are suffered more so than a previous, possibly contributing fight. Either way Baer was a universally recognized champ so he is excluded.

Bud Taylor was the man. Never a WORLD Champion Taylor was a great fighter who licked Mclarnin, Canzoneri, Bat Battalino, Phil.*********,Benny Bass etc. Two fighters died as a result of being kod by Taylor, Frankie Jerome,
and Clever Sencio. My dad saw Taylor stop Frankie Jerome in NY,who was a great prospect, and a favorite of my dad's...

I always considered him a Champion. He also won a newspaper decision over Pancho Villa and beat Abe Goldstein, who was another Champion (NYSAC), a couple of times.

Awsome answer. Only thing missing was that his murders were not in the ring.
