this isn't pointless. The point is that if Shane Mosley can't outbox and outpoint Mayorga over 11 9/10 rounds, then he has no business fighting Margarito, Williams, Cotto, Clottey or any other top fighter anymore. Which he doesn't.

I had Mosley ahead clearly, but I think they both looked awful and the fight sucked to watch.

    I had Mosley up 7-4

anyways, the judges are what matters. 6-5 for Mayorga, 6-5 for Shane, and 8-3 for Shane. I can live with that.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the judges were corrupt

I respect Steve's opinion. I've met him personally and will see him in AC, but I think he's wrong. I had SSM winning 115 - 111.

Than by that scoring, Ali won the FOTC, Charles won vs Marciano I, or Palvik lost to Taylor II.

I had Mayorga ahead, it was sloppy, the 2 knockdowns did put Shane ahead had it gone the distant of couse. It was pretty close.

Letterman's score was pretty poor imo. He only gave Mayorga 2 rounds, and the rest went to Mosely by a land slide.

I score one round for Mayorga, and was pretty shock to see Letterman give the round to Mosely. Than the arugment in round II, said he give it to Mayorga, than hold and behold, he gives it to Mosley.

Mosley landed ALL of the cleanest and hardest punches of the fight and he was WORLDS more accurate. Come on people.

Let me ask those who scored for Mayorga.....since this was'nt a street fight but rather a boxing match.....did you guys count and score the shots where Mayorga blatantly held while punching Mosely, and the repeated rabbit punches that Mayorga landed?

I did'nt take those shots into account with my scorecard, but I'd have to think that someone who even had the fight close would have had to have given credit to Mayorga for those.

You dont score shots that a referee repeatedly is warning you for about.

I had it 6-5 Mosley and thought he was going to get a clear decision win. Mayorgas rough housing wasnt winning the fight, and he wasnt landing clean except in one shots. I find it amazing that anyone had Mayorga ahead

Shane was landing more, doesn't matter that Mayorga was throwing more, especially since all of his punches were sloppy and ineffective.

Out of curiousity, who did you have winning Hopkins vs. Calzaghe? That made me think of something. ^

Mayorga looked like a mini Ruiz to me in that fight so I had Mosely up ahead about four or five rounds before the KO.

Hopkins did'nt land nearly as consistently or effectively as Mosely did in his fight with Mayorga.

....in fact, Hopkins employed alot of the clinching tactics that Mayorga used....in both cases, the clincher lost!
