"Reading some of the message board fodder, I am absolutely flabbergasted that people are people are tipping Juan Diaz so greatly when I think this is a 50-50 fight. I think this fight is an absolute coin toss. I think this is going to be a very close fight."

This is definately closer than the betting odds would indicate. -310 on Diaz is a **** value IMO.

It's a close fight, but the edge still goes to Diaz

I think too many people are picking against Diaz and the fan bias makes the odds seem ridiculous. I don't have a problem with the odds as Diaz should be a strong favorite based on past accomplishments. A lot of people are writing off Diaz because he showed that he can be beaten, but I would actually pick Campbell to KO Katsidis faster than casa did.

I agree for the most part, but the thing I don't like about the odds is that they make the puncher in this fight the healthy underdog. Katsidis has a chance of taking a smart bet and ruining it with a few well placed bombs.

3 to 1 odds are totally fair. This will not be that close of a fight. If you want to see what this fight will be like, watch some past Diaz fights like him vs Sim, Lorcy and Angulo. Guys who are less technically skilled than Diaz but who are aggressive. It will be an entertaining wide decision. Something in the 9-3/10-2 range.

3-1 odds are totally fair if it's a 3-1 fight. I take it you disagree that it's 50-50?

    Correct, I don't believe it is a 50-50 fight.

    Diaz wins a wide decision.

i think katsidis has an advantage b/c we all know diaz cant hit for **** and katsidis has shown he does not mind getting punched in the face again and again. what made casamayor's style a nightmare for katsidis will not make it so for katsidis.

people are acting like juan diaz will outbox katsidis the way casa did. thats ******ed, both fighters push forward nonstop and while diaz has the better chin, i still see a katsidis decision victory.

Close fight but I think Diaz will take it. He covers himself up pretty well and Katsidis is easy to hit.

No he will outbox Katsidis in the pocket and not on his toes like Casa. What will be a nightmare for Katsidis is his stamina as he was tired after like the 5th rd against Casa. Not a good sign considering Casa throws about 12 punches per round these days.

This fight will not be a disapointment. Both men are coming off a loss and will come to prove something. :good

I just read an interview with Diaz and he said he's going to "explode" when he gets in the ring.. He sounds like he's obsessed with getting back in and getting a win after losing to Campbell. We know to expect Katsidis to bring it... This could be like the 4th of July.

    That's definately a possibility.
