Why are Slices people throwing him to the wolves, he should be fighting cans for atleast 25 - 30 more fights.

I don't see any sanctioning body allowing a 1-0 boxer with no amateur experience to fight a pro with a 48-4 w/ 43 KO record.

Also the OP has named a location, which is weird for a baseless rumor.

The OP is also "in" the boxing world, and so may be privy to stuff that isn't reported anywhere online...

I'm guessing you're stating that since something specific was mentioned (a location) that that lends credence to it. But how? The fact that two names were mentioned is specific: Tom is going to fight John. But clearly that comment could be just as baseless.

Say I wanted to make up a rumor. I very well might state: Tom is going to fight John and Lannigan's Hall in Mischicot, WI.
Because I fleshed out particulars that still don't exist in reality doesn't mean that my "story" is no longer baseless.
