The other day I made a post without really taking time to evaluate Petruzelli's knock out of Kimbo Slice. I posted that I thought the punch did little damage, and Kimbo appeared to be shooting for Petruzelli's kicking leg. That was the only thing that made sense to me, because I was unable to believe that short shot did that kind of damage.

I watched the replay, in slow motion, a few minutes ago for really the first time. I was wrong on two accounts, but right on another. Kimbo was not trying to attack Petruzelli's leg. Kimbo had really commited himself to a right hand, and Petruzelli caught him mid punch, with that little half shot, and really did drop Kimbo with it. What I was right about is the ko. Kimbo was not out cold from that shot. He made a couple attempts to stand, but the series of punches Petruzelli went upside his head with finished him off. Kimbo was out of it when he rolled over and into the Yoga Boat Pose.

    Here's the replay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qekdLpSXOfc&feature=related

My keyboard locked up, and I couldn't finish my post. I was able to point at the submit button and click, but I could not type anywhere. After a quick restart, here goes:

I don't mean to take away from Petruzelli's victory in any way. Every thing he did was legal, including those shots in the ear area. I wasn't trying to say he got away with rabbit punching. That half shot he set everything up with was like the punch Antonio Tarver used to ko Roy Jones in their 2nd fight, only from the opposite side. Tarver ko'd Jones with a straight left when Jones attempted to leap in with a left hook. The cool thing about Petruzelli's punch is it came with one foot off the ground. Had Petruzelli had both feet planted when throwing that shot, Kimbo probably would have crashed on his face for several minutes from that one shot.

Seth's punch was a variation on the Karate Kid crane punch. Hiya!

    "Yoga boat pose." Nice one.

Nothing straight about Tarvers KO punch on Jones at all. It was more overhandish hook type ****.

No need for a rematch it would probablly be worse considering Seth wouldnt have to cut weight this time. Arlovskis fighting Fedor now or atleast for right now. Im expecting Kimbo to fight Don Frye next.

It is because he caught Kimbo mid, and very much committed to his, punch.

    Kimbo KOed himself?

The guy has a Glass Jaw that is as bad as anyone I have ever seen in MMA or Boxing.

    Kimbo is finished.

In karate point fighting LaRuso overcomes his fears and wins on points. In the real world he has to nail him with a jab and knock him out. Not sue he could pull it off. Would favor Kimbo in a street fight. The bad boy that LaRuso defeated might stop Kimbo in a street fight though.
