Kimbo now fighting Ken Shamrock

I dont get why Kimbo gets so much stick?! Why judge him by such a perfect standard? The guy is just a street fighter who made it big and is now fighting in the pro`s. He has no professional experience whatsoever and naturally is cashing in his chips. If you was in his position you would do exactly the same thing. More power to the dude to be honest as his just trying to make an honest living. He is what he is.

 

I'm intrigued by Brock and Kimbos route to the top.

 

Ones already at the top and one'll never reach it.

 

I don't like to come on here and flame people, and I am not trying to flame you. But Kimbo isn't trying to make an honest living. He is fighting can after can, one worse than the last.

I really thought they would move up the ladder but they unfortunately are moving down. Kimbo really had no business stepping in to an octagon with Shamrock, its like picking on the smaller guy.

After this fight Kimbo is going to be looking at getting a shot at Gannon, what kind of bull**** is that? When is he going to go up the ladder instead of staying at the bottom running in circles?

As far as I am concerned he should be fighting Brett Rogers, he is definitely ducking him, no one can argue other wise. rogers is only 5 fights in deeper than Kimbo. The only difference is Rogers doesn't have a huge losing streak like every fighter Kimbo is facing.

I would even be happy if kimbo fought someone with a similar record. some one 3-0-0 or 2-1. He has no business being in a octagon with a former champ of any type.

 

Let me highlight my point to you again. Kimbo has NO PROFESSIONAL background whatsoever. MMA has simply given him a leverage to make money. Whats the problem with that? Why judge him by a professional standard when the reality is his no more better than the average man on the street who has a modicum of knowledge on fighting?
Let me guess if you had the opportunity to make good money as a former street fighter you would do the honourable thing and turn that money down? Yeah right.

 

I seriously would, I have way to much pride to try to be make myself out to be something I am not. Kimbo has no professional experience so he shouldn't be fighting people with professional experience.

I know its the entertainment business and all but its really false advertisement. Maybe one day Kimbo will be a great fighter but right now he is make a name for himself by fighting has beens, when current names want to fught him (ie. rogers, monson, ortiz etc). He has so much buzz right now that a lot of good fighters wsant to try him and he won't have anything to do with it. Thats a coward.

 

How noble of you. Thats rhetoric bull**** and you know it mate. If Gary Shaw offered you a couple of hundred thousand to make some easy change i assure you ALL would take it. You`d be a fool not to. KImbo is no diffrent. As for false advertising.. hey thats life skippy. "Welcome to teh desert of the real.. "

 

Its not so much Kimbo the person or fighter, because we all would do the same thing, and nobody faults him for it, well I certainly don't.

Its more the tactics behind Kimbo the phenomenon.

 

The Kimbo phenomenon is hardly surprising. If it was for Youtube he`d still be making his bread on the street.

 

Ducking rogers ?

That wouldnt get Elite XC who is barely surviving nearly the ratings Shamrock will. It is still a business...

 

Not everyone is money grubbing, and as for life, thats still bull****. Your basically saying its ok to cheat. If I thought I could make quick cash fighting I would be a fighter. Kimbo is full of smoke and mirrors and I think you are probably on the kimbo band wagon.

In all seriousness its very rare that you will ever see me slag a fighter. I am not saying he is a complete can, I am although suspecting that he is, no one knows, I am just extremely tired of having him shoved down my throat day after day. I am one of those hardcore fans hating to see hard working fighters get passed up while some fly by night takes a bunch of credit.

I am tired of telling people that he is not a heavywieght champion, and telling people that there is no way he would ever beat liddel. Now he is about to fight one of the biggest names in MMA, and of course he is going to win, because he is fighting someone who is done.

I in all honesty would not put myself in Kimbos shoes, I suspect that he doesn't work very hard as he has proven that his cardio is ****ed. I am only going to watch that card in hopes that a miracle happens.

 

Rogers will kill Kimbo, they could hype a fight like that too. Especially with there first confrontation. they could do it for sure.

 

Rogers has fought a bunch of nobody's as well by the way, I just reviewed his record.

I can't really keep arguing about this ****, takes too much energy. It is all about the business in the end. Its just a shame that ken Shamrock is going to be subject to a needless beating.

Kimbo is going to have to fight real competition within a year, so until then. We all know Kimbo is being fed almost guaranteed wins and we are going to have to keep dealing with it.

Also, maybe Kimbo attracting people will make more fans for MMA and it will just get bigger. Who knows, its just frustrating to watch.......
