I am looking forward to the Daley vs Shields fight, and Cyborg is insane, I will watch her fight anyday. There are some good fights.

O please im not on any Kimbo wagon of any sort. I just see him for what he is which is nothing more than the product of a beer swilling teen generation. Less than 6 years ago Kimbo would have been a nobody. Like i said his street fighting through the now popularity of MMA has given him leverage to make some easy money. As far as im concerned alls fair in love and war. I mean lets be real who exactly is Kimbo going to beat? Would anyone give him a chance against any of the REAL names in MMA? Of course not. Then why judge him by such a lofty standard when his just a street brawler who hit the big time?

The reason why I even judge him at all is because he is getting great sponsorship deals in a sport where he is doing **** all, while hard working fighters scrape by. One of these times one of these cans he is fighting is going to catch him hard. Ken Shamrock will beat him easily if he comes in for a take down, but I don't think he will and Elite is banking there whole future on him not going for a take down.

I honestly think this is a dangerous fight for Kimbo. Unless he has really improved his ground game, he has to keep the fight off the floor. That may be easier said than done, as I have not seen a lot of great take down defense from Slice. One clinch may be too many.

Last time Shamrock took someone down = 2001.
Last time Shamrock submitted someone = 2001.

Shamrock will not get Kimbo down, he will be KO'ed. Fast.

That is very much a possibility. Afterall, Ken did lose to a man that lost to a 52 year old Dan Severn.

Ken is still in a totally different world when it comes to grappling. Bas was quoted recently as saying he wished this fight could have been made further along in Slice's career.

I believe that Bas wanted the fight made when it was a guaranteed win. Right now, I don't think it is. You have to favor Kimbo, but counting someone with Ken's edge in experience out could be unwise.

I hope your right. I would really like to see shamrock pull this one off, it would be amazing an amazing win for him after a 5 streak loss.

Bottom line is this......Kevin Ferguson a.k.a. Kimbo Slice was a ****ing streetfighter with no professional experience whatsoever. Really, he needs to face relatively low opposition right now.

I ain't blaming him for trying to cash in at all. But his best course would be to fight once a month on low budget fight cards against steady better opposition until he gets about 15 fights or so.

Taking on Shammy right now is ultra risky, if you ask me.

Taking on a former champion with a pulse like Frank Mir is risky. Taking on a guy who hasn't won a fight since cavemen walked the earth isn't that big a risk. This is a little risk, huge payoff fight in terms of generating casual fan excitement.

Yeah. Fifteen fights is a lot. Most guys get some wins in the lower circuits, run up a record that's 6-0, 8-0, etc., and then get a crack in the one of the bigger organizations: UFC, WEC, Elite, etc. At that point, it's OK to lose, as long as it's against top notch competition. In the UFC, a loss hardly kills a career.

There were the true freaks who jumped right into fighting top notch guys in top notch organizations. Couture fought Vitor Belfort in his third fight. Mark Coleman fought Don Frye in his first fight. I think Lesnar is a guy who's been in tough early, too.

Kimbo, on the other hand, is getting hand fed opponents with BIG name recognition and virtually nothing left in the tank (no pun intended!).

You have to understand that with Kimbo.....he HAS no extensive amatuer wrestling or Muay Tai background like most MMA guys do.

He needs time to learn the ground game, submission defense and such.
