Kimbo Slice on CBS and Kelly Pavlik

The Kimbo Slice vs James Thompson fight is the worst of MMA.

The best of MMA is awesome.

DO NOT judge MMA's finest by this ****.

Every MMA fan knew that Thompson vs Slice was a stupid fight to make as a main event and the EliteXC org itself is small fry.

james Thompson is one of the worst MMA fighters in history with a pathetic chin and Kimbo is just a newbie starting out.

They are both nothing but journeyman.

This was a complete tragedy for MMA fans all over the world.

 

lets just say that it this point Pavlik and Kimbo Slice probably have slightly different monetary demands

 

since that's the case then they should show that fight where that fat **** white cop from boston knocks him out cold

 

I watched the show last night just being curious and it was some of the worst **** I've seen in awhile. Half of the guys were ex boxers who couldn't make it. I've seen better fights on the street these guys have no technique throwing nothing but arm punches and most have glass chins. Kimbo slice is a joke I can't believe Gary Shaw bought into this hype job. If this is the best MMA can offer than can have it.:-(

Yeah I wonder how many people there where the MMA fan equivalent of the boxing fan, the guy who understands the sport and follows it closely. During the ring walk and the shots of the audience I could have sworn I was watching wrestling. It sucks, I would immagine if the promoters and fighters wanted to take a pay cut then it could probably be aired on network TV, but from their perspective why would they want to do that.

 

One of Arum's goals was to get Kelly on broadcast TV. When was the last time you saw boxing on BTV though? I only caught the 'main event' because I was out. That fight was pathetic by any standard.

 

You can thank HBO and Showtime for pricing network TV out of major fights for the last few decades.

 

I am certainly no expert, but from my perspective, I don't see it like that. To me America is always looking for the SBA, not a white kid, and Kimbo is living proof.

Name the last white sports star to really have the "IT" factor to get the attention of all the masses.

Larry Bird? I don't even think any NFL quarterbacks etc., have **** on Tiger, Jordan, Kobe, Bo Jackson, Griffey Jr., Jerry Rice, etc.

Randy Moss is big time, but doesn't have "it" due to his "dick headed-ness".

First off Slice is a bum waiting to be exposed but as far as the rest of the fights they were off the hook !! The Robbie Lawler fight was incredible !!


If you don't understand MMA thats one thing but stop calling it crap when its as competitve if not more than most boxing matches !!

Brett Favre is as big as they get in the states. I have heard of people that are fed up with pro sports but they still watch the Pack because of Favre.
