Ever seen some of the tomato cans Mike Tyson (or any other prospect) fought early on in his career. Are you not familar with the way fighters are brought into a sport slowly, whether it be MMA or boxing?

Whether it lasts on CBS or not remains to be seen. It may not. But MMA has been around for quite awhile now and doesn't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. This CBS show wasn't the end all be all. Although it does go to show how popular MMA has become, whether it lasts on CBS or not.

Ahh but the upside to Boxing is that they only have a minute between rounds.

We saw more HOOPLAH than action.

He generally gets paid 1million to 2million per fights but he's not popular enough. one of his fights in bodog only had 12000 ppv buys.

He costs a fortune for all orgs who are trying to make some competition to the ufc. Ironically , dana white was never able to buy him and because of that , randy couture broke his contract and left the ufc...(because couture wanted to fight him for the HW belt)

He wasn't comparing them as athletes but as attractions.He said that Kimbo was catching the publics imagination the way a young Tyson did.Although he did compare Kimbo to Tyson by saying one punch and the fight could be over in a heartbeat, but i seen little to suggest Kimbo has one-punch ko power

His backyard youtube fight w/some guy named Byrd is badass. That's when I first became a fan. Two big mother****ers going bareknuckles.

Also, the guy is very likeable -- a good interview/great personality. Who gives a **** if he's not a top MMA fighter? He's still a decent fighter no matter how much people **** on him on message boards...

Yes MMA is sad.
I think its just gonna be a fad though. If boxing gets it together then they will erase MMA. Seriously its like WWE.
