He's about to find out what every MMA fighter before him has.... The ring is not the cage and he has no chance as a legitimate contender. even fatty solis could knock him with a single hand while drinking beers and eating tacos with the other. can't wait to see him schooled/destroyed by a journeyman!

 

I'm all for Kimbo going to boxing, but is anyone with good stamina and no gut hanging out actually going to the HW division? What's with the I on his chest? real men don't shave their chest.

 

every mma fighter before him ? What is that supposed to mean ? are you somehow insinuating that all mma fighters had experience as amateur boxers ? that all of them are in mma because they failed in boxing ?....

I hope not...
A vast majority of them never even had boxing training , most don't even have an amateur record...Guys such as Coleman , Fedor , Couture , Werdum , Gsp , Akiyama , Carwin and so on... are specialized in disciplines such as greco-wrestling , sambo , bjj , Judo etc...

No dude, I'm saying that there is no way in **** this ******* is gonna amount to a cumstain in the boxing world. He'll find out hard and fast. I'll laugh.

 

Oh...yeah , he failed in mma & he'll probably fail in boxing too...Kimbo is a good guy though...he has ko power and with the right "can"..maybe he'll manage to grab a few wins...(or not...) Maybe once he fails in boxing he'll give K1 a try ? who knows..

Despite all the **** he copped when he was a net street fighter he has turned out to be a humble guy with a load of heart.

 

You guys forget Kimbo was more of a boxer than a MMA fighter in his street fighting days. He's old now but with the right training I think he could be and hope he is successful. Don't make this a "MMA fighters could never compete in boxing" thing. Kimbo is a good dude from humble beginnings.

No he doesn't. James Thompson has one of the worst chins in MMA and has a highlight reel of KO losses and yet Kimbo could not even drop him. Kimbo was landing flush with 4oz gloves and didn't put Thompson down once. Other average MMA strikers have destroyed Thompson and KOd him cold with single shots.

When Kimbo puts on boxing gloves his power will be even less impressive and he also has a shaky chin and dreadful stamina. He will be utterly thrashed by the first decent journeyman he faces.

My genuine mistake. I need to educate myself on Cuban cuisine one day for real, although google images of this fried pork **** looks pretty bomb.

 

Boxing is a whole different kettle of fish to MMA. His cardio was whack in the UFC, just like most of their top fighters who aren't professional enough to care about doing road work and working their body. Kimbo should only fight 4 rounders and stick to bums for easy pay checks. I like the guy but he is losing to the first guy he doesn't hand pick out of a pub or a backyard.
