atsch I guess some people still believe in the Kimbo hype huh? Blaming the WINNER for doing what he was supposed to do and ignoring the fact that Kimbo IS NOT AN MMA FIGHTER and he is far from being one. This content is protected MartialArts
I have no idea why Roy didn't try to sink a Kimura in when he had Kimbo in the cruxifix. Kimbo's arm was right there. Unless I am missing something, :huh?
Even though the punches wasn't hurting him, he wasn't defending himself intelligently. There wasn't much of a chance of him getting out of that position.
Still think he's a horrible fighter. However, I actually like the guy. He's not the monster he comes across as in his old backyard video's. Unfortunately, he seems too timid in the cage and really doesn't belong there.
exactly, even though they wern't big punches when you continually get hit in the same spot 20+ times it can do damage.
yeah, he's actually a very respectfull guy who is trying to learn late in the game. He had his thing in you tube now he's just running with what opportunities that were given to him. Can't blame a guy for that he's done well for himself.
Exactly, just read he has now started training at ATT full time. http://www.fightersonlymagazine.co.uk/news/viewarticle.php?id=3172
Because Kimbo can destroy lower level MMA fighters and the average man on the streets. He can throw straight shots with power but he looked way too aprehensive last night with his striking. He should've just said **** it and tried going all out on Nelson. I was hoping to see what a nice left hook or right cross from Nelson would do to Kimbo on the standup and see what happens but Nelson did what he needed to do. Put Kimbo in there with someone like Arlovski and see what happens. Kimbo is probably never getting into the UFC.
You can't question the stoppage. It could have been stopped in the first round. I've seen Mousasi in exactly the same position and then his opponent gets up and goes crazy. What the **** are you complaining about - you got pinned, were taking repeated blows and there look like you had no way of escaping the hold or the blows.
seems like a really decent, humble, grounded guy just trying to make a buck....good for him....so, he got beat..is anyone, any REAL mma fans on here, actually surprised by this...??...nelson may be the pilsbury dough boy but he has an incredible amount of expericne and is much more well grounded than kimbo.....i wish the bearded one well, as i do ANYONE who steps in a ring or cage.....too much hate for too many people from many who have never fought and will never fight..easy to be an armchair warrior..
I got your Kimbo hype hanging. It was a lame ass victory and a weak stoppage. Kimbo was just stuck in a position. I've been following this sport since UFC 1 and have seen 75% of the UFC PPV's live, watched the Pride shows, STRIKEFORCE, Affliction, etc, and even trained jiujitsu for eight years. I reserve the right to call a fight how I see it and Kimbo wasn't hurt. Roy put on the lamest victory he could have. There were submissiosn there for him and he didn't take them. Weak sauce all around.
the stoppage was fine. what was the ref supposed to do, let big coountry pound on his head for the next 4 mins straight? kimbo isn't a mma fighter at all, he proved that again last night. Roy looked like **** and still made kimbo look like a little boy when he got him down.
Lame yet effective...TWICE What does that say about Kimbo when he falls for the most basic ground moves and cant ****ing do **** about it? I to reserve the right to call it as i see it and what i see is that Kimbo is garbage and you dont want to accept it.
Kimbo just doesn't have much confidence, & has still learned very little :-(. He should've came out throwing bombs.
